Dykes and Bonne up front would be a good partnership if he played it He tried that against Barnsley and Birmingham Gens but they both drew a blank. Playing two up front might work though once Willock and Adomah are fully up to speed.

Playing two up front might work though once Willock and Adomah are fully up to speed. When Coventry played Reading recently Paul Cook (ex Wigan manager)was a pundit and described Mark Robbins (Coventry Manager) decision to play 2 upfront as an admittance of giving up the majority of possession in the M/Field area ? Coventry did end up winning the game 3-2 but if that is indeed the case of surrendering the majority of possession are we a team that are suited to keep things tight at the back and rely on counter attacking football. i would say we are not at the moment as our transitions are much too slow and that too many players below average are being picked regardless.

We couldn't play 442 with only two central midfielders as we would be neither creative enough nor defensive enough with our squad - wide open to a counter attack. 532/352 might work but Masterson is still learning the game, Dickie - good as he is - is prone to a pull back and Barbet is very inconsistent, so do we have a reliable enough three? I don't think he'll be changing to two up starting anytime soon.

There's the makings of a decent 4-3-3 in the squad, we can go on pointing it out until we're blue in the face but it wont make any difference.
4-4-2 diamond is also a contender imo, leaves you narrow but for a long while we didn't have anyone who could stick a cross in anyway.

LTC has been ok but aside from a good pass now and again he doesn't offer anything else to the side

On reflection Saturday was weird. I though we were very fortunate to be level at HT as they had caused us difficulty wit their fast players running at us. Although Dieng made a couple of good saves I did think we had defended quite well. At that stage I would happily have settled for a point. However, when the second half started we looked much better going forward. There was a lovely move when Kane should have scored and then within minutes we were behind. I think that was a key few minutes. We recovered well and after equalising we were on top for a good period and should really have gone ahead. We got caught on the break and they were then able to time waste and manage the game away. The last goal really flattered them on that second half display but I would say on balance they probably deserved the win. It was one of those frustrating second halves but strangely I felt we were better in the second half (certainly attacking wise) than we had been in the first. Blackburn looked a much better team than Derby I thought.

Noticed Dykes not even on Scotland bench for their Nations League game today. Injured or rested?

I hope Kelman gets a chance sometime. I'm sure that video was 'best bits' but he did look good. He'll probably get a run out in our FA Cup game.

Have to be pleased if Chair gets 10 goals this season even if he would need 60 clear chances to reach that.

Think dykes will come good. Scottish lad at work was raving about him last week and most pundits only give positive reviews. It’s a massive step up for him and he’s had fuck all in the way of service. Actually think kellman will be a very good signing too. Like bonne and chair really needed that today. You could see him puffing his chest out after he’d scored. Willock has to start for me, makes a difference every time he comes on

Bonne looks ok in patches, but I hope with Willock soon getting full matches we will be able to serve him better.
