I think as supporters and as a club we have been recently accustomed to settle for second best..until this changes our club will stagnate.

What we need do more of is produce decent champ standard players that get picked up by other clubs for 3,4,5 million a time, along with one or two that go for bigger fees. All adds up and you look at Brentford and how those sorts of deals have put them in a very good position financially. They've also had few deals where they've sold for less than what they prolly like - similar to us with bos.

What players have Brentford sold that have gone on to be the real deals They are not worried once they have got their money. Over 80 to 100 million in players sales profit for the last 5 years and that is without the current side losing players. That’s my point..None of the £80m deals can be proven to be value for money for buying clubs just like smithies and Freeman..we sell cheap because other clubs know our position.

You get yourself on a solid footing financially and a decent contract length for the player in demand.
We slowly been building towards that but this pandemic has set us back.

Who gives a toss how they get on once the money has been paid. I doubt Brentford feel sorry for Villa for the 9.5 million they got for him now he is on loan at Brum. Brentford sell at high as do Preston with Hugill and Robinson both back in championship on loan as Leeds did with Clarke. Our club is viewed as a joke when we buy and sell players.

This is why players sales are vital going forward.

The better they play, the more they want away..... That was the point I was making last night. We pay people to spot a player. Why weren’t we negotiating before he hit form? They work with these players every day. I’m sick and tired of settling for the scraps. We tolerate under achievement and incompetence more than anyone I know. It’s got to stop and we’ve got to raise our standards or nothing will change. All these years pass and we are still a disorganised mess. It’s not good enough

It’s not good enough I made the very same point about no standards at the club and while that is the case there can never be a positive change. The D.O.F position needs to be looked at and closely, Failed managerial appointments, And recruitment into and sales out have also been poor.

I know finances are tight, but if Les thinks even fans of forty years standing are going to go watch an attacking force of a Rem Oteh rather than a Nakhi Wells, he's in for a big surprise.

When the commentator on qpr plus says his name, it sounds like one word. He really loves saying Barbet though...

I'll still go but, tbh, being unable to get Wells, when he clearly wanted to stay, was one of the most demoralizing experiences I've had watching the Rs since 1877. I'm way nearer the end of my tether than I've ever been (bar when I was estranged when living in the US).

Westy's right, plenty will still go but we'll be back down to the hard-core support and with so much competition locally - especially if the bus stop gets an upgrade - a attracting the next generation is the worry.

You will stay have the hardcore but the families with young kids who are the next generation of our fanbase we will miss out on for sure as why would a father pay a lot of dough to watch average at best players. Very concerning times for the people at the club.

I was hoping for £8 million, would have been sated at £6-7 Million, feel disappointment at 5 Million euro.
I wish i could inject more emotion and passion into the debate/ issue at hand but to be honest, no plumbline made by man could measure the depth of my apathy towards QPR Over the past 3 years.
I don't really give a flying yaks quim anymore.
