Ravel Morrison and Danny Simpson We only have Ra'Nell's at the club now, don´t think we´ll be seeing Dushane and Sully again.

Nice, hope he’s available for selection for the Watford game, Johansen, Ball and Chair sounds good to me.

Willock is predominantly a winger who has been asked to play more central at times, and is more the creative type.

Playing Ball beside Johansen will allow Johansen the freedom to roam around the midfield and hopefully control and influence the game. He also adds more physicality in the middle of the pitch, which neither Willock or Chair can provide. It may well be that Ball’s performances improve as he can concentrate more on doing the defensive work in the middle of the park, in front of the back 3, and let Johansen do the rest, in terms of moving the ball, distributing the ball, controlling the tempo of the game etc. I think with Johansen beside Ball the midfield looks good, and I think the team will become even meaner and tougher to score against. Looks like he’s pretty good at set pieces with his left foot too 👍

The big question is has he got the legs to do that job.
I would be more than happy if he sits deep, makes tackles and sprays some passes around...which ideally means we need another Creative M/F
Ball also seems unable to get up and down to support attacks regularly despite being only 27 and for me does not get involved enough for me.

At 30 y/o I’d hope he still has the legs, engine to be mobile for 90 minutes. He’s not played much football this season so it may take a few weeks to get him fit enough to play the whole 90 minutes. I think Ball has been ok, and to be fair the defence has become pretty solid over the last month or two, Ball is part of the progress there. I’m not really looking for Ball to get too involved in the opposition final 1/3, I’m looking for him to win possession, tackle, defend, track runners, block off lines, passages of play.

OK, so it's about opinions but I don't think you'd find many on here who would disagree that Ball has gone backwards in recent weeks. He's gone from being captain material to giving the ball away too often, too many fouls and doesn't look as fit as he did earlier in the season. If Johansen can anchor the midfield, and if we are sticking to a back three, it has to be Ball at risk surely?

Johansen and Ball in the middle with Chair in front would be my thinking. I would start with this, too. But it's not an easy choice as Ball's been so poor lately. Maybe more defensive role would suit Ball better and this would enable it.

So the question still stands who gets dropped ? That means Willock returns to his role of permanent sub or we revert to one up. Don't like either option personally. Johansen gets Ball's job for me. Willock deserves a few games to show what he can do.

Dickie Cameron Barbet
Kane Johansen Ball Hammer Chair
Austin BonneSo weakness definitely remains in the wingback (and to a lesser extent No 10 and CM) positions, if he persists with 3-5-2

If MW is after Billy Gilmour ex.GR, now Chelsea, Gilmour can probably challenge Chair for the number 10 position.

But It`s not very likely he will go out on loan to a championship club, I think.. Warburton knows him from Glasqow Rangers though.

I’d drop Willock, and have him as a sub for Chair if/when he begins to tire or he’s not having a good game. Gilmour would be a nice player to have in the squad if MW can get him on loan. He definitely wants to be playing as he’s desperate to get involved in the Scotland squad for the Euros. Hopefully if he begins to get regular game time and starts to fulfil his potential Scotland will be building their team around him. In a year or two we’ll be looking at a midfield three of;
Gilmour McGinn Mctominey
something along those lines.

He was talking to a norwegian journalist on QPR.no a week ago and here is a brief summary of what he said:
1)Not a doubt in his mind when the offer from QPR came. Talks with Warburton and the fact that he didn`t have to move made the decision very easy. His family is settled in London. 2)QPR are also a club you simply don`t turn down. He mentioned our greeeeaaaattttt past etc.. 3)Warburton as a football man impressed him from how he remembered him when he was in charge of Glascow Rangers and Stefan played for Celtic. Stefan liked his attack minded and possession based way of playing. He mentioned tight defenses also. Cough,cough.. 4)Stefan meant that QPR as a team should aim higher on the table. He was impressed by the allround quality of the players, but pointed out that we are a quite young team which clearly lacked a bit of routine. 5)On Charlie Austin: Charlie is a typical goalscorer who knows how to score goals and especially how to position himself in front of goal by clever moves behind/in front of defenders etc. CA is also a character who demands a lot from the club hierarchy down to the individual player before and during matches. He is yery outspoken and quite authoratitive when he mentors the youngest players on and off the pitch. 6)Towards the end of the session, Stefan mentioned that he didn`t really know what would happen when his loan deal is up in the summer, but he would gladly stay if he was offered the chance (to leave Fulham). He expressed the desire to stay because he really felt wanted at this club where everyone from the cook, to the players and club hierarchy where a real nice group of people.
THE END
