Well at least you came round to him for a while 😅 He was always willing to show for the ball and he helped us with our possession game but Johansen showed what you should do with it. He made us tick and I don’t think we can honestly say that about Carroll. |

Different types of players though, as I've always argued  On the one hand Carroll has other qualities, on the other hand I'd have Johansen if I could only pick one. |

It's not just about FFP though mate. It's also about running the club in a sensible and sustainable manner. I'd say the big difference between Austin and Johansen is the fact Austin is out if contract and Johansen isn't. It's the reason I'm far more confident that a deal can be brokered with Austin that works for everyone. For Johansen, I'm unsure what relegation causes are in his deal. But what I do know is we couldn't afford to pay him what he's been getting at Fulham in the Prem. This presents a problem unless Fulham are happy to take a hit on part of his salary for the remaining year of his deal. I suppose the big question is whether Fulham want him for next season. If they don't, it will be a much easier deal to make. Can't think why they wouldn't though. Very handy player at Championship level. They’ll want him back, half their team is made up of loans isn’t it? They won’t stay. at the Sunday league football earlier and the chairman is Fulham Season ticket holder. Says he think Stefans time at Fulham is up and they will actively move him on |

absolute steal for us this but stefan wanted the move by all accounts so he probably pushed for the move. top championship player for sure and during his loan stint he was the best CM we've had since faurlin imo.
if we hold onto our other players which looks likely then we have a genuine shot at promotion.

For once starting a season with a bit of continuity on the back of a stellar 2nd half last season. Top 6 squad. I was thinking exactly the same. For once, no huge overhaul. We've managed to keep together a squad that was starting to look very effective. I think we still need a right back and another striker, but I think that will happen in the next week or 2. |
