Surely Derby to big to be wound up Quite possibly mate. But from a purely financial perspective, if you are running a huge loss and owe a bill to HMRC that is larger than the total sum of your assets, you are basically fucked.

If I understood him correctly, Lee Hoos is still "on the case" according to what he said in an interview with LFW a few weeks back.

I'd assume what Westy was getting at is surely a well supported side with a rich history like Derby won't be allowed to go out of business. A wealthy fan or a consortium might come in and save them etc.
This may be correct, but I don't actually know what the rules are in terms of a new owner coming in an injecting a load of cash into the club to clear debts. Surely it would be an automatic breach of FFP?
It's also gonna require a lot of money. Derby owe at least 80m quid and don't own their stadium or training ground. Even if the current owner doesn't want anything for the club, I bet he'll want paying to return the stadium/training ground. Realistically, is anyone going to pay in excess of 100m for Derby County, particularly given the state of their accounts at present?

And the daft wankers begrudged selling us another thousand tickets...... Hope they rot in league 1 Their logic is, there are very few clubs that would sell out the 4k allowance, so it would be about 250k for the season to do it. They think it's more beneficial for the vocal home fans to be where they are.

Reading couldnt give us more tickets because they allow their fans to stand in the section that was next to the away end. Reading had season ticket holders there and there were no additional sections to give. But it came across as a wont do rather than a cant do.

If this continues, Forest might be out of the relegation spots fora while.

If this continues, Forest might be out of the relegation spots fora while. I'm pretty sure Forest and also possibly Stoke are flirting with a points deduction too. Neither looked too clever with regards to their last set of accounts from what I can remember.

“The club face the prospect of a further points deduction over breaches of the EFL's financial rules, and Jackson said: 'We've had very positive dialogue with the EFL, they want to see Derby County survive, we want to see Derby County survive, but right here, right now what we can't say is that there won't be further points deductions. There is a distinct possibility of further points deductions.'“

To be fair, it sounds like aside from HMRC, the vast majority of the debts are owed to Mel Morris and are likely to be written off. In other words, it's very likely there will be further points deductions for breaches of FFP, but the club will live to fight another day.
