Doctors have told Christian Eriksen that he cannot continue to play football at this highly competitive level, so a move back to Spurs looks like it’s on the cards. Bad taste but still funny

I wouldnt be surprised to see Redknapp turn up at Spurs once all candidates have realised Levy will cash in on Kane

Benitez to Everton should be fun. No fan of a scouser but they do come up with some wit.

And now BBC reporting that Palace could have a new manager in the next couple of days:
Kind of relieved to hear it, as I was pondering 50-1 odds on Southgate being appointed - he has Palace connections and hinted he might step away from England if they don't 'succeed' (I think he meant reaching the semis) at the Euros. Palace seemed made for him...

BBC reporting Lucien Favre has turned down Palace (maybe I will put that tenner on Southgate...).
And Rafa to Everton 'by the end of the week'.

BBC reporting Lucien Favre has turned down Palace ( maybe I will put that tenner on Southgate...). Yeah, win the Euros with England and go out on a high; then go back to his roots at Palace with his stock at a premium. Sounds like a decent bet Loftus 😀

Sounds like a decent bet Loftus 😀 Southgate has hinted he'll resign if England don't 'succeed' at the Euros. He hinted this meant reaching the semi-finals. So, if we get knocked out on Tuesday, I think he'll be on his way.

Southgate has hinted he'll resign if England don't 'succeed' at the Euros. He hinted this meant reaching the semi-finals. I've no idea what his ACTUAL quotes are but if the inference from that is he's not 100% committed and focused right now on England then I find that very hard to believe.

A lot of activity and I think the musical chairs with Prem and Champ managers is pretty much over for the summer.
The list, with initially quoted odds (bookies seem to have been pretty wide of the mark in many instances):
Spurs Julian Nagelsmann 5/2 Brendan Rodgers 8/1 Carlo Ancelotti 12/1 Massimiliano Allegri 12/1 Diego Simeone 12/1 Rafa Benitez 14/1 Steven Gerrard 16/1
APPOINTED: NUNO ESPIRITO SANTO
Crystal Palace Frank Lampard 5/2 Eddie Howe 7/2 Sean Dyche 3/1 John Terry 6/1 Sean Dyche – 8/1 Chris Coleman – 12/1
APPOINTED: PATRICK VIERA
Everton Nuno Espirito Santo - 13/5 Eddie Howe – 3/1 Rafa Benitez – 8/1 Antonio Conte – 9/1 Wayne Rooney – 9/1 David Moyes – 14/1
APPOINTED: RAFA BENITEZ
Fulham Steve Cooper - 4/1 Eddie Howe - 5/1 Chris Wilder - 6/1 Frank Lampard - 6/1 Patrick Vieira - 10/1 Derek McInnes - 12/1
APPOINTED: MARCO SILVA
Sheffield United Alexander Blessin 2/1 Frank Lampard 4/1 Neil Lennon 6/1 John Terry 6/1 Paul Heckingbottom 8/1 Slavisa Jokanovic 8/1 Eddie Howe 8/1
APPOINTED: SLAVISA JOKANOVIC
Bournemouth Thierry Henry - 1/2 Jonathan Woodgate - 9/2 David Wagner - 6/1 John Terry - 12/1 Marco Silva - 16/1 Eddie Howe - 16/1 Patrick Vieira - 16/1 Frank Lampard - 16/1
APPOINTED: SCOTT PARKER
Celtic Eddie Howe 4/9 Lucien Favre 9/4 Roy Keane 7/1 Enzo Maresca 9/1 Frank Lampard 12/1 Carlos Queiroz 12/1 John Kennedy 12/1
APPOINTED: ANGE POSTECOGLOU (who??)
WOLVES have appointed former Benfica boss Bruno Lage.
BARNSLEY's Valerien Ismael has been appointed West Brom manager, with Austrian Markus Schopp replacing him at Oakwell.
All in all, some interesting (and puzzling) appointments there...

Seems pretty late in pre-season preparations, but Steve Cooper seems to be leaving Swansea 'by mutual consent', according to The 2nd Tier.

eustace to swansea looks like a done deal. i wonder if that means he'll be taking matt gardiner with him as he was part of his backroom staff at kidderminster and by all accounts is a very highly rated modern day coach

Apparently that lovely John We-Know-What-You-Said T***y was odds-on favourite for the Swansea role earlier today, having quit Villa - but the Twittersphere is suggesting he's turned them down. Hmmm, wonder if Ryan Manning is regretting leaving us yet...
