Lumley not on the bench. Looks like he's off. Looks likely, yes. Guess he won´t sign another deal, so that´s probably that then. Yeah, I don't think there is any doubt Lumley is off. Out of contract. He'll drop down a level to get the number 1 shirt somewhere. I wonder if we might give Joe Walsh a game last game of the season? I reckon he'll be back up next season. |

I think we'd miss chair if we sold him and didn't bring in another offensive central midfielder. I'd also add that I doubt there would be that much money on offer for Chair. He definitely isn't ready for a step up the leagues yet. |

As I mentioned about, Carroll doesn't get into this team if we keep the loanees. Chair and Carroll do different roles under Warburton though. Chair typically operates as 1 of the offensive 3, whilst Carroll has more often than not been one of the 2 midfielders sitting in the middle. I suppose we also need to consider whether the manager will be here next season. No news of a signature on a contract yet. And his absence today does raise some question marks for me. Anybody heard a full explanation? |
