For automatic it looks like you have to finish above WBA and the Fools at this early stage. Again, early, but can’t see why we’re not likely to be best of the rest.

Those 2 have squads that the rest of the division can only dream about and have started the season very well. Of course there will be ups and downs along the way, but if anyone manages to finish above either of them they are bound to go up automatic.

Other than that we are as strong as anyone, and only a question of determination to get over the line in this division. Nice to see Jokanovic`(I really don´t like him) Blades near the bottom, but not sure they will stay down there.

Six games in. What are people thinking to what they initially predicted

I said 2nd discounting Fulham which appears to be premature. However, I still would be very disappointed to not finish top 5 after what I have seen. Birmingham appear dark horses and Stoke and Bournemouth have started well also.

Think Coventry worth keeping eye on too. They remind me little bit of ourselves they play to the end

Six games in. What are people thinking to what they initially predicted Would still be happy with top 10. Not getting ahead of myself after a very good start. We can just as easily fall away, its QPR after all. What would be really telling is how we bounce back after a loss.

Anything higher, will be delighted.

Cardiff will be a strong top six contender.

At least by bringing in Charlie, Johansen, Gray - even Albert - we’ve bought a ticket, and it should be the best chance we’ve had for a few years.

Many moons since we´ve looked so good. Team from first half of last season would have only had maybe 6 points at best from these first 6 fixtures IMO. And that´s stretching it. Very different team now with experience, grit, determination, and that extra bit of quality in both boxes. Long may it continue.

I didn't vote earlier in the thread but I'd say top 6 has to be a realistic aim, based on our form not just this season but since January.

Bournemouth more likely to fall away than Foolham although their defence isn’t all that. Top six looking to be a very competitive grouping this season.

From what I have seen, Fulham look the best side in this league we have played. But even that day, we played poorly but were still in the game after an hour. They look a lot less effective without Mitrovic but nevertheless I think they are the ones to beat. Bournemouth have ridden their luck until the last couple of games and if we can turn them over later this month I don't see why we can't hunt them down. I think we should now be looking at minimum playoffs.

Heading for Christmas games looking up instead of down is good feeling. As long as we don’t sell anyone significant in Jan and keep Albert fit no reason we can’t stay at the top. Jan will tell us how the club sees it.

That prediction was made back in Sept. And at the time it was considered optimistic lol

Knew in September not to get the old hopes up...fall away is exactly what happened 🤦♂️ Failed this season. To finish outside the top 10 is failure.
