I actually thought Moses was our best player yesterday. We controlled second half, nothing happened on the pitch in first 30 minutes. Chair had a good chance but opted to take a weak shot when we had two strikers on the back post. Soon after they equalized.

We looked jaded. 3 games in a week has taken its toll on the players. They all need a few days off to recharge. your spot on they did look tired after a tough 7days and were out again Tuesday night against Birmingham it’s relentless hence why I would happily have played weakened side cup even having watched a great game.

League Cup could be highlight of our season. 1 in 12 isn’t top 6. unless we win it how will cup run be highlight of the season?

League Cup could be highlight of our season. 1 in 12 isn’t top 6. You'd have to say on reflection having lost a game from a winning position in the last 7 minutes that the League Cup was probably a factor. We looked knackered by the end, and they didn't. Hence I'm not in the "always play your best side" camp when it comes to cup games. Yeah, Tuesday was awesome and it would be great to make the quarters of the Carabao Cup. But come the end of the season if we miss out on the play offs by 3 points, nobody will be saying "ah well, at least we beat Everton in the cup". super post

Beaten by a far better side tonight. We are organised and committed but don't have the consistent quality throughout the team. We are competitive and show potential. 6th place would be an achievement for this side. 10th is where I think we'll end up. look a very good side be interesting to compare to Fulham in few weeks

When all midfield are back I’m not sure I have him as starter week in week out

If we fall away in League but get to semi or even final that’s a highlight isn’t it? And I doubt Seny Dieng was tired, shit happens whether you pick a strong team or not.

No losing is never a highlight even a semi but that’s personal view
Was losing to Cardiff in play off final a highlight?

I actually thought Moses was our best player yesterday. I agree. Other than being at fault for their goal which, as a defender, unfortunately undoes all that good work. Again, it's not for lack of ability with him, just being able to stay switched on for 90 minutes. Like chair but he is well over hyped by fans. That may be true, however it doesn't really matter as Warbs will certainly have words with him behind closed doors if he's under-performing, and even bench him if need be. He's certainly not the kind of manager that's scared to make such decisions.

Moses is a quandary. Reminds me of Ryan Manning a few seasons back (although admittedly Moses is a far better defender). Moses looks lively, gets up and down the wing well and offers something in attack. But then he ruins it all with a costly error most games.
For me, it doesn't matter how good you play for 88 minutes as a defender if you have 2 minutes that contribute to goals being contended. And it's not like he's a youngster either, as such it's not gonna be coached out of him.
I understand why others like him but to me, he's a liability. I think sides that do their homework will be well aware that we can be undone on our right side.

I cant find fault with the teams commitment sprit and tenacity but we are lacking on the concentration and decision making side of things.
This applies as a team and individually.
Also game management leaves a lot to be desired when to press, when to retain possesion thus taking a break, slowing the game down and all the other aspects of this skill.
I guess you cant everything but an improvement in these areas is what i would like to see.

Yes we've missed Lee, however McCallum has done really well the past two games before his injury, and even scored two goals. Barbet isn't a WB, so we actually had weaknesses down both sides last night.

I think with the way we play, the wing backs are an important outlet too Stan. Way to easy to defend against when everything comes down the middle.

We changed tactics to play WBA. No passing out from the back and more often than not went long. We haven’t played this way this season and largely it didn’t suit us but we still nearly won it.
We will go back to our usual tactics for Birmingham and I’m sure as a result our quality will seem to improve.
No worries, in warbs we trust.

We’re definitely unlucky with injuries. To lose both left wing backs is difficult to deal with. Especially as it’s a strength of ours. Right wing back is a big issue but feel that Moses will come good. Kakay tries hard but just don’t think he’s good enough.

More a byproduct of operating with a reasonably small 1st team squad.

We should have rotated the squad more. George Thomas would have had a role to play yesterday. The same Thomas is a player who doesn`t get a chance at all, imo. No wonder he looks out of touch when he get a minute here and there.

Honestly Shania, there are big question marks as to whether Thomas is good enough. Chucking him in against arguably the best side in the division would have been a big call. That said though, Dykes was the wrong sub. Crying out for someone with pace when we made our subs.
This is the issue. We are running a small squad. The likes is West Brom, Bournemouth, Fulham etc. will always have better options off the bench than us.

Think we have a great team great to watch and most teams are very wary of playing us
I'm pretty happy atm with the team manager and club in general

I’ve calmed down a bit now. My main concern is the rate that we are leaking goals and the individual mistakes that are costing us dearly. The strikers were guilty against Bristol city and Bournemouth and last night it was chair for me, dieng also obviously but I’ll let him off. If chair ever wants to be a top player he’s got to be less greedy and cut out the over playing. Having said that he shouldn’t have got the ball in the first place. We are very naive at times and that has to stop. If you get beaten by quality then fair enough but we weren’t. We beat ourselves. Again
