I know we are desperate for him to be sold but I think they will hold onto him as olisee will be in more demand.

Apologies if this been asked before but if his contract has been renewed does the sell-on fee still apply?

I think it must do Stains. A sell on is a sell on. Otherwise it would be subject to abuse.

Fabulous performance against Liverpool yesterday - must have added £10m to his valuation. Beautiful goal... A tap in As your forum username suggests, I know you are a mainly a cricket fan. Now cricket is a simplistic, almost Neanderthal game, where a round lump of wood is thrown at some sticks in the ground and your opponent has to stop the the ball from hitting the sticks by whacking it away with a club. With such a basic premise, it is perhaps understandable that you don't quite get the more subtle nuances, style, grace and elegance of football, 'the beautiful game'. So, yes, on one point, Eze's goal was indeed a simple 'tap in'. But consider the more than 20 passes his team put together leading up to his tap in... (this is called a 'move' in football). Their opponents (serious title contenders at the top of the league) didn't touch the ball once during that build up. It's a true delight to see when so perfectly executed. And the reason the final shot was indeed a simple tap in, was that the opposing team was completely bamboozled and the scorer had lost his markers and created that space for himself, in order to be in a position for that simple tap in. Sublime. Here is some recommended reading if you would like to learn a little more about the finer points of the game... Anyway, it will soon be summer, an excellent opportunity to catch up on the cricket - and perhaps some cucumber sandwiches, wasps in the scones and jam and some much-needed sleep in your deckchair under a knotted handkerchief...

Whereas kicking a pigs bladder is a cultured and nuanced activity? 😂
Saying that Ezes shape to take the shot first time and his placement of that shot was class.

It's a bit sad we need to pray for an Eze move. No guarantees we'll spend It wisely.

I’m a bit fearful everyone seems to be putting their eggs in the Eze pot as our answer to revamping squad next season.
We have to plan on the basis he’s not sold and if he is that’s a bonus.

Exactly my thoughts. All this talk of massive overhauls premature/ wishful IMHO. Unless Eze goes it might be about working with the core of what we've got and some free transfers. TBF (unless we did get some huge windfall from Eze) the aim is probably a top half finish. And if you added one semi-decent striker and goalkeeper and retained what we have, that's very achievable.

even without the eze sale i imagine we'll have some funds available. a few of the higher earners are out of contract and a few others will be sold.
if we can sort out our 3 key areas for next year which is hayden on a permanent, a new GK and striker we should be good. throw in a couple of loans and free transfers for depth and competition and we'll be shaping up quite well tbh.
we'll probably look abroad for our key signings.

On Match of the Day 2 last night they described Eze in the most orgasmic terms, saying that he's a Champions League player and won't be at Palace next season. Have to say, he's improving game by game after his injury and absolutely bossed the game against West Ham - and his goal just fabulous! £60m - £80m... PSG??

Just imagine if we had the attacking prowess of that team a few years ago - Nakhi up top with the option of Hughil (missed a lot of chances but decent scoring record for us) with Eze, Bright and a young Chair. Then combine that with the defensive midfield and defence we have now.
That is what is so tantalising to so many fans of Championship clubs - the standard is so even compared to the Prem. Most teams we have played this season have had one or two players that you think "wow, they are good, I would really like them." But almost every Championship club also has some area where they are quite weak. Makes it both fascinating and frustrating...

Is there 100% sell on clause? 😬 That would be insane. And as everyone knows, contracts always have a sanity clause. That said, I think it could happen - because everyone knows, there ain’t no Sanity Clause... (apologies to the Marx Brothers)
