Based on our full history the third division is where we have spent the greatest amount of our playing time. I still don't think we will be fighting relegation though.

I watched all of Saturdays game against Derby and the team we started back in August/ September time would have won that comfortably against one of the worst Derby sides I have seen in years. What I watched was QPR concentrating on not letting goals in but the price was a lack of entertainment and flair. Not for me thanks. Just a question of balance. I've told you before, being a footballing side and decent defending aren't mutually exclusive. The argument that we'll be crap to watch if we learn to defend is absolute nonsense. It just means that when the ball crosses the half way line, there'll be more organisation and less panic.

I really can't agree with that assessment Esox - it was a much better all round performance especially considering the obvious drop in confidence lately. We attacked, BOS very lively throughout. I enjoy watching good defending, it isn't necessarily boring and the whole match was a step in the right direction again. I also don't think we will be relegated but things had to change, even if only temporarily, to make sure we didn't spiral downwards. No way do we want to be in Div 1.

Oh what aspiration! 🤣TBH that was more of a response to the knuckle draggers on Twatter who have been properly abusive to TF and the club claiming they need to get their wallets out and get us back to where we belong. There doesn't seem to be a single person that grasps that we sold off/ released a whole team at the end of last season and replaced it with a squad full of freebies, loanees and U23 players. IMO we can consider ourselves very lucky that we haven't been bobbling along in the bottom three all season. Complaining that this group of players have some serious flaws may well be true but you could hardly call it surprising.

Complaining that this group of players have some serious flaws may well be true Perhaps it's not true though. This is the point that many here have made. i.e. the problems have been much more to do with the defensive system & COACHING side of things.

You aren't going to coach speed into Leistner, Rangel, Barbet etc. You aren't going to coach Eze into becoming a deadly header of the ball. These are all flaws in their game.

Those players’ lack of speed hasn’t been the prevailing issue though Esox. What is is what has been raised many times, and things that certainly CAN be coached and improved upon.

20m for eze? yes please, that would be a serious amount of cash for us and whilst eze is arguably the most gifted player we've had since taarabt we would benefit massively from it in the short and long term. we need to invest in the side and to do that we need to sell, other players could step up to replace eze too. chair for example has bags of potential even though he's been hit and miss this season i still think he'll come good

Regarding the back line, its more organisation than speed, no one seems to be making the calls or getting them aligned. More to the point is the lack of cover they get when we loose the ball. If that was in situ lack of speed in the back line would be much less of an issue. All these things can and should be coached. Eze's heading ability has nothing whatsoever to do with the core problem. I remember us in the old third division. I was there as a nipper. I'm not sure that returning there for historical reasons is a great idea. Post war Sheff Utd have spent more time out of the top flght than it. By your line of reasoning that is where they might as well return. I'm not sure their fans would agree either. The Greeks would have liked your fatalistic approach though: 'in time all things fade to nothingness. QPR included.'

Do you honestly think that they don't do these things in training? This season's team is step one in a building program which will take a number of years. It is what it is and ain't what it ain't. Just go along and enjoy what is offered and stop worrying because you don't think it is being done the way you want it to. I am fucking heartily sick of fans screaming for the managers head after every bad run. It has demonstrably never worked in the past and I am fucking sure that it will never work in the future. All it does is reduce our chances of ever getting a worthwhile manager, like Warburton, in because they know they won't be allowed the time to do a good job. Suck up whatever happens for two or three seasons and, if we still have the same manager then and it has gone tits up, rip the shit out of me for being a total cunt then. Stoicism and pragmatism are what's required for a few years IMO.

Esox, you're living in cloud cuckoo land if you think managers at this level get up to three years to get things right. #PlanetReality I am fucking heartily sick of fans screaming for the managers head after every bad run. If you're that sick of it, get off Twatter then. No one has done that on here. Healthy and constructive criticism is what you get in the main here, and absolutely nothing wrong with that when it's warranted. Big difference. Hal's post directly above yours for example.

But the problem is, would we get the money? Or how much could we invest. If we got £20m, I am sure it would be over a duration so the mney to spend wouldn't be available straight away. A few quid for a centre back would be great though.

No one has done that on here. Not entirely accurate Stan. I've not seen anyone overtly call for his sacking Ginge, other than one post by Hal, which he later confirmed was tongue in cheek. Of course there've been plenty who've brought into question and criticised some of his methods over the recent poor run (some even suggesting it should be questioned by the board), but that of course isn't the same thing.

It was indeed tongue in cheek, but it also highlighted the issues that the manager and his team seemed to be failing to get to grips with. It was posted before the Fulham game, and it seemed that afterwards everyone had a few problems with those same issues, so in fact the original post was pretty mainstream. Compare to social media as a whole, this place is the zenith of reason and informed debate.

It was me, and I suggested it in the heat of the moment during the 1-4 match against Nottingham Forest. I appologise from the bottom of my heart to whom it may concern. I presume it must be Mark Warburton.. and no-one else, imo. Oh not quite - If anyone else feel offended I will gladly offer my appologises to them as well, when I think about it.

i don't think anyone believes that warbs should be sacked, in the heat of the moment when you're full of anger and feeling let down it's a different story. heck, i've been at games recently when we've been losing where i've thought that he should be sacked because my emotions are all riled up

Understandably much is said in the heat of the moment out of anger/frustration, so you have to allow some latitude for that. Usually by the next day the majority of those views have been significantly steadied.

In terms of Eze, it’s still a big unknown how far he will go career wise. We need to incorporate a hefty sell on clause to any deal we do with another club. They make, we make.
