Seems to be having the same sort of impact Eze and Chair did. If you are good enough, you'll play.
Something that never really happened with Smyth, Oteh and others.

Armstrong is back from Torquay . Seems to have gone down well GT Perhaps the reason we haven't been linked with any strikers?

Would be interesting to see him get some minutes, although 2 in 8 for Torquay sounds poor.

Sounds like an exciting prospect. Clearly better than that level, in the same way Eze and Chair were. No idea if he is good enough for us yet, but I guess Warbs can look in training.
More likely, he'll have a loan in a league 1 or 2 club, but I hope we do our research and send him somewhere where he'll play.

Just found this about Armstrong - sounds potentially a bit worrying if he only has a contract until the summer...

Yeah, as Corbs says, we have an option for another year. He's effectively got 18 months left on his deal.

Put him on the bench and give Dykes something to think about.

Dykes can’t go on the bench, he would either miss it, or put his back out sitting down

Put him on the bench and give Dykes something to think about. Put him in the team and give Dykes something to think about. For once I would like to see us put the reserves out. I’d usually say every game is worth best shot but with us looking so good on a shoestring we can’t afford to lose anyone. Not going up nor down I’d say try a cup run but there’s every chance we can stay in contention at the top.

#ManCity lead the race for QPR striker Sinclair Armstrong (18). @mancity would intend to send the Ireland U19 international either on loan, or to one of their City Football Group clubs for a few years before considering him for first-team action.

Do you have an up to date link? the72.co.uk/260093/qprs-sinclair-armstrong-wanted-by-manchester-city-and-southampton/not the most reliable of sources but its fresh. i can't see us letting armstrong go unless we received a very generous offer and sell on fee. i remember eze was being linked with various prem sides when he was just getting exposure in our first team but we obviously didn't sell him until he was the finished product. my guess is armstrong will stay and sign a new deal. he's already been on our bench so he knows that he's held in high regard here and given our recent track record with young players it makes perfect sense for him to stay and develop before moving on.

What recent track record Corbs? Eze. Maybe Chair, but jury is out whether or not he’s prem. I think we kid ourselves that we’ve got these youngsters coming through - why aren’t they on our bench when MW moans about having a small squad? What has S D-M got to do to get a few minutes? If we trust MW’s judgement then they aren’t good enough. If Man City can see Armstrong as a future player we should be involving him in the first team squad not maybe flogging him off and then buy another Dykes. He’d still be worth a few quid if we get the pleasure of seeing him for a year or two.
