I would love the new manager to back the youth (as long as fans back them as well!).
Get Armstrong and Duke Mckenna involved more. Has Kelman improved since actually playing in his second stint?
Bettache looked good whenever I have seen him but then doesn't get much game time when away so not sure he is the answer.

Apparently our u18s have finished bottom of their league for the third season in a row and the u23s finished bottom this season. Give youth a chance?

A team that comes last can't have any good players?
Don't forget, we have a B team and I believe players are being moved into this. Plus, how many players that would be in those teams are out on loan?
Don't get me wrong ... youth probably is shit but one or two of them hopefully have something about them.

We seem to get lads who haven’t made it elsewhere, then maybe our coaching isn’t all it’s made out to be? Not a great recipe.

That article is from the last transfer window.
Not a chance is Armstrong genuinely being scouted by top clubs. He just has a pushy agent. Leaks fake stories to the press, then uses the press articles to leverage a better deal for his player. Do you not remember when Pawel was being linked to Chelsea and all of a sudden had a new 3 year deal?
Oldest trick in the book!

Misread something and thought somebody had reposted an article linking Armstrong with a move away. With hindsight perhaps I was looking at something posted a while ago.

I don’t think your being a plum Tarbie.
There was a rumour posted about Man City interest when he first joined.
Then there was another separate rumour this season saying something similar,Timmy Doc posted it.

The bloke on Talksport thinks we have a great player there. To an extent, you can tell who is a cut above that level. Over the years remember seeing Walcott, Bale, Ashton, Taarabt, and many more who were clearly better than this league, even when they were young.

National league is fairly on a par with League 2.

I know the argument is always made that the manager sees them in training but if you don’t give them a chance you never know if a young player can make the jump. Allen, Goddard, Francis, waddock etc. would still be out on loan now. As for the training point, we can’t even take a decent free kick so not sure what the value of training is to the decision.

I think Barbet scored three or four? I might be mistaken………

If he’s not good enough at least we’ll know not to keep banging on about him getting a chance. Plus, the club can look at an alternative.

Chair scored one at Peterborough extremely close to the corner flag.

Is that a genuine extension for Armstrong? Thought he had a year to run with an option for another already anyway.

I find it really odd that armstrongs not in the Germany squad unless he’s got a knock. Surely that’s exactly the kind of player you’d want Beale to be working with. Raw, but all the attributes you’d be looking for in a striker. Least he’s tied down to 2025 if the club take the option up. He’s 18 though, not 8 so if the talents there then unleash it
