Plus of course they know its coming. But anyone can decide to go along and have a wee word doorstepping with a smart phone. It has its place. We need both. |

No threats were made, No aggression from the fella. Hoos was the one who gave the double finger. Fair play to the lad for fronting up to the prick and telling him that he needs to leave the club. Hoos clearly offered to chat but this bloke just wanted to confront him so he could get his footage. Pretty muggy imo. |

Not quite Hal. I totally concur with the frustration, but RFI does do its bit: I was in an SCC meeting with Hoos recently, sat right across the table from me. I raised with him many of the main gripes collated from fans on here over the past year or so. I had to email in all the points in advance and most of it came under AOB at the end of the meeting. He'd read them all though because when he entered the room he had quite the worried look on his face. There were about 10 other people at the meeting, all from various fan groups and all wanting to get their own points across. Anyway I did my best in the circumstances but, as expected, his responses were in the main corporate, deflecting and obfuscating. Nevertheless the points were made and hard questions were asked. So there is no doubt he is aware of the current fan sentiment over the general running of the club. We await the club publishing the meetings' minutes. |

Keep 500 tckts a game,give to local schools i emailed the club about that a few months back and got an email back from hoos, here is lee's reply: As Alan says it's typical corporate bullshit from Hoos. Would not cost the club anything to try with some free tickets for local schoolkids. Just try it and see what happens you muppet. |

I’ve met the guy three times now. First time he paid for the beers me and Westy had for lunch in Holland. I must have liked him then because I was so rat-arsed I’ve since had to ask Westy what we did for food in the evening. Apparently it was a Mars bar at the hotel😐 Since then he’s come across as an arrogant, condescending bullshitter. Sorry, I don’t like him and I don’t subscribe to the view that he’s done a good job. Got the wages down by recruiting inferior players. Wow. Has done nothing to take club forward in any way.

But what does astound me is I first started going fairly regularly in the early 80s and think they had a "kid for a quid" scheme or similar back then. There was another period later where they got in local schools who were all grouped together and it sounded a bit muggy when they started to cheer with v high pitched voices, but hey, it was encouraging the next generation, so great. What worries me more is these ideas have been knocking around for three or four decades at least - why are they only thinking about schools now? Fair play about targeting local residents but the schools is such obvious low hanging fruit. You get some kids enthused then they nag their dad/ elder brother to take you just like I did and probably most of you all did, probably pays for itself in no time. |
