Can't drop Chair after that goal last night in my opinion Gen. Need to fit Amos and Willock in the line up too though. Probably an argument that Johansen is the one that could use a rest I suppose.
Genuine competition in the Midfield now. If only we had that headache up front too, we'd be promotion certainties!

Agree Tarbs but we where so strong in midfield with Amos Johanson Field
Last night Boro where running straight through
I’m a chair fan big time but we where very good without him
I’ve been critical of our flimsy midfield all season

However I am very happy with where we are as a club and team this year
I always said that I only ever wanted atop six club to challenge and we have that atm

Thought chair looked very rusty last night. Suppose argument only playing gets him up to scratch
As gen says the three of Field Amos and Stefan has looked pretty good unit last month and we never actually missed chair. I am of similar position to dieng you got wait get back in not walk in

Does prove there is life after chair though doesn’t it
We looked solid without him this throughout January

Chair will obviously get game time at some stage wether he’s selected in the first Eleven or as sub,but I do think not playing Dieng could be detrimental to his transfer value in this summers transfer market if he doesn’t reclaim the gloves reasonably quickly.
This could also apply if Dickie loses his place long term to Sanderson.

A typical "should win" match, but not sure we will.

Still plenty of games to go but if we don’t get three points from a team that’s lost 19 out of 29 and only won twice it will be a massive setback. Peterborough have a similar league record and look what happened, so we need to turn up.

This could also apply if Dickie loses his place long term to Sanderson. Dieng wasn't even back for the last game, was he? So he hasn't even had 1 game of being available and dropped. Though, Marshall was epic last game so I wouldn't drop him either. Valuations won't drop from a couple of games on the bench anyway. There are months of training and stats of data that clubs use to value players, not 3/4 games on the bench.

I would drop Chair for this one, I do think we are better with 2 up top.
Get Gray in next to Dykes.
Midfield of Amos, Field and Johansen (though Hendrick looked very good and positive when he came on).
Chair hasn't played in a long time so give him a little break, get his recovery sorted and maybe play him from the start against Millwall.

Am very surprised people talk about dropping Chair. Always respect different opinions on here but not sure anyone else in the squad could have scored the goal he did against Boro and he looked the most comfortable on the ball. We have seen how Willock has been hacked and marked in recent games. Having those two gives us much more of a threat. Also, given that our forwards are all in fairly average form think we need Chair and Willock for the goals (no coincidence they were our two goalscorer midweek). Amos is a "nice to have" player for me and if the manager thinks he is looking in better form then Stefan by all means play him there but think we at least need to start with our two best/ most creative players which are Chair and Willock. Also, if Chair is slightly rusty the only way you will knock that rust off is playing him.

got a horrible feeling we'll lose this one, they always turn us over up there and are without a win in 359 games or something, give or take.

Are great months of December and January now forgotten. We had a settled squad with Amos getting plenty of mins on the pitch and doing bloody well. The signing of Hendricks to me seems to have upset the balance of the team and he is now blocking Amos getting mins.
The likes of Hendricks, Sanderson, chair and maybe even seny should not be ahead of the players that have taken us up to 4th in the league. Especially the players that took us through January unbeaten.
Get dozzel, amos and grayback on the pitch and leave the loan players and chair on the bench.

Agree with most of that Hits, but December was not a good month, iirc. And don't think Hendricks have changed much. If anything it is the return of Chair that has changed our balance.
