Interesting you guys think that. I mean he has been caught in possession, for sure. But recently on a rare foray forward I remember Dickie slinging in a great cross from the right wing that probably should have produced a goal. And of course he was scoring a few spectacular long range goals. If you are right, though, and the centre halves have been told to stay behind the half way line, fine - but then why aren't the midfield players showing for the ball and risking turning their man rather than just tapping it straight back to the centre half looking all pleased with themselves like they have actually achieved anything? Someone has to move the ball through the thirds, surely? I've been saying that most of the season, especially during our poor periods. MFs and strikers too static, not making enough runs, not pulling their markers out of position, not demanding the ball enough etc...Defenders therefore have no choice but to pass from side to side if their orders are to keep possession and "take care of the ball" |

man city dont play with a striker either, our team has a lot in common with theirs.
we both play with 11 players, including a gk. all of our players also have 2 legs. plus we both play on grass.
not very different tbh.

in all seriousness it could work. our strikers aren't providing ANYTHING at all over the past few games. no hold up or link up play, none of them have looked damgerous in the box nor are any of them giving the defence a hard game.
we're losing battles in midfield however and chair and willock have looked our biggest threats. a 3 man midfield with field sitting back will allow our wingbacks to push higher up effectively giving us 4 players in attack.
can't be any worse!
