Should be grilling them on the dof and the 8 years of absolute bullshit we’ve had to put up with. Just a pr stunt but if this goes sour they will be getting pellets that they won’t be able to brush off. Let’s hope we hit the ground running and it all calms down a bit but in the summer the whole structure needs looking at and I hope they know it

RFI may have to take some of the responsibility for this. I've been pushing for more communication from the owners for some time to Morrissey at supporters meetings. Agree about some of the tame questions though.

My take from that is they seem genuine in their views and they never said anything which made me concerned. I maintain plenty worse owners out there whose heart is not in the right place. I genuinely think theirs are they just can’t do right for doing wrong but I remain convinced if they sorted that out they would be ideal owners.
Only thing which did make me think hmmm was comment about trying each window get players needed. Where is the striker on that basis. Yes we have had Dykes and Bonne in their reign, so they would point to that, but aside from that particularly last 5 seasons no one.

Well I saw that very differently. I thought they came across well and their passion for the club they're funding seems genuine. What was particularly interesting is that Hoos and Ferdinand didn't get mentioned once. I reckon come the end of the season they're out.

Actually that is an interesting way to look at it and you might be right. Just not sure most will see it that way watching the interview. Les and hoos there for day to day running, owners probably haven’t got time to be more hands on. And are they going to know any alternatives to the duo and they can’t ask them to look for there replacement can they.

If you’re right then all they need is a proper DOF to run the football. thats the biggest issue imo. i don't think hoos is doing a terrible job, just an average one but he's working with what the finances give him. who we bring in as DOF is another question entirely. i don't think it'd be hard to poach one, the club just needs to look around at lower league clubs or abroad at smaller clubs and find clubs operating with similar models to ours but with much greater success. obviously there's more to it but surely thats the gist of it. |
