Interesting to read other Rangers forums. On LFW the majority want Warbs to stay. Very different opinions to those on here. Sounds like they're all going to be very disappointed in that case.
Yup.

NorthernR has been quite critical about the manager for a good few weeks now though.

Why do people think Farke would be good for us? He had a striker who would score 25 goals in the Championship and was quite lucky to get promoted first time. His teams are always rock bottom in the Premiership so wouldn't be here for long anyway.

"Overachieve" is such a meaningless word IMHO. It's so vague and arbitrary. By WHO'S standard or yardstick? It literally means nothing! 😃

We need to give the managers job to smiler (dof les) It’s the only way to get him out of the club. Hire him as manager then sack the fucker in December when we are bottom.
I want smiler

I would doubt the next one will be given that long.

I think it's the wrong word Itso because it's insulting to the manager. A manager's achievements are primarily based on his skills and abilities. Yes of course his player budget is a factor, but to a lesser degree. Otherwise we'd all be great at it! 😎

This time I would like to bring a foreign manager in. Manning, Evans etc has been mentioned, but personally I hope the Board will look abroad. Brentford have succeeded in that respect. So did Norwich by bringing in Farke.

It could be refreshing to see a European or further afield perspective on our league. Very insular with our normal choices.

Example, us coming back from 2 down to beat Liverpool 3-2. Clearly Liverpool were a better team overall that season, so does that mean we overachieved or that they underachieved in that particular game. Or is it better say rather than trying to define it like that, did we simply get what we deserved because of how we performed. Basically, don’t pigeon hole an individual or team based on past glories or failures. More of a what you put on you generally get out approach.

Everyone lives in the past and recounts war stories. Should set yearly goals and work off / to them and go from there. Live for the now

His teams are always rock bottom in the Premiership so wouldn't be here for long anyway. When they first went up, they weren't a yo yo club. Had very little money and he had to recruit well and make their current crop, better. Pukki was part of his recruitment so I would say it was a good call by him to sign this unknown player. I haven't checked dates but I presume it was him that signed Pukki. But that a side, he would be good as works well with a lower budget and has got his team playing good attacking football. Premier League football is a bit different and we would have to cross that bridge if we ever get there.

If we go up again under the present owners I think they (and the fans) would be realistic next time and keep the manager. With hindsight it would have been better to keep Warnock even if we had dropped, then go again. I can’t see how they are ever going to get any money back otherwise. They’ll get fed up with losing money one day, then we’ll be in trouble. Norwich and Farke, Burnley and Dyche. Worked for them.
