Kabongo Tshemanga(spelling) is a pacey striker from Chesterfield who has scored goals for fun for years now. Birmingham are after him, so maybe it`s time for us to check him out also. He played against us for Borehamwood a few seasons ago and apparantly impressed.

As long as we can get a striker who can make their own chances at least a couple of times a game...

I still think they could do a deal with Wycombe for Mehmeti. If we do sell Chair we’d get him for a fraction of what we should get and chuck in Thomas as a sweetener. Not taking piss when I say he’d suit Wycombe’s style. Wycombe not rich so money talks.

Not taking piss when I say he’d suit Wycombe’s style. Wycombe not rich so money talks. Not sure Thomas is any kind of sweetener. Signed from Leicester so prob on high wages for a club like Wycombe. And is absolutely useless. Can’t score, can’t create, just runs about, that’s about it. Three managers now have taken a look at him and clearly don’t think he is good enough. Another one we will prob have to make an offer to buy out the remainder of his contract

It’s league one Stains, and Coventry were supposedly sorry to see him go. And what an indictment of the DOF idea - bring in players (he’s not the only one) that the coach/manager won’t play!

It’s a fair point well made Alan but I think as Stanley says on another thread it’s not the idea that’s wrong but it’s how we have been executing it (or the people we have to execute it).

We should go after a player like Stefan Johansen. He doesn`t seem to last much longer.

Not all of these a couple would do (1 x mid 1 x striker)
Joe Allen make him skipper
Josh Windass before his exploits recent which will put too much coin on his value
Barry Bannan
Callum Robinson
Daniel Johnson from preston
Romain Sawyers

Wish we could afford this fella that just made a name for himself against the scum queens from down the road
looks good in the air and strong everything Lyndon Dykes should be
hasnt set the world on fire in his time at Spurs, Fulham
so was hoping if he was a flop at Fulham we get a chance for him to shine here been told Carlos Vinicius doesnt speak a word of English

not a player but rather better staff and a continuation of coaches into management roles. i thought in the summer that eustace would have replaced warbs and maybe in hindsight he should have - oh well.
but why don't the club poach a young up and coming coach who's still cutting their cloth in coaching and give them a role with the first team? brentford did it with thomas frank as dean smiths assistant and look how that turned out.
suggestion for that type of role then: james rowberry. we were bizzarly linked with him in the summer but 6 months on he's been sacked by newport and is out of the job. he's only 37 and is very highly rated so why not get him in now so he can develop and be earmarked as a future boss of ours? even if NC stays for the entiretry of his contract (3 years) james would only be 40 years old.
james rowberry is just an obvious suggestion but i don't get why the club doesn't do more to promote and develop a manager from within.

Because when we sack our 749th manager the next will want his own people. And deff wont like having his potential successor working under him.

And deff wont like having his potential successor working under him. we're supposed to have head coaches though and find a manager who fits that mould and style of play. it started out with shteve who brought in eustace and matt gardiner, warbs (who kept them on) and who also brought in banfield. the way the club present it is almost like a one out one in sort of deal which is good for continuity imo.

I sure hope we other irons in the fire, but It could be worth a try to in free agents like Chris Martin or Lewis Grabban short term. Both would be able to bring us that cutting edge and routine. Their mindset would have to right though.

clear out time
now if im Critchley im gonna stamp my authority on this squad to show the board i have Cahonas
i would sell
Dieng Chair Dykes
and let these lot go for nothing
Adomah Balogun Richards Dozzell Niko H
and after all the loanees eff off
would bring in
1 more centre back with leadership skills a new right back Sultan Al Ghannan from Al Nassr in saudi arabia would be a bargain a new midfielder or 2 1 being Barry Bannan from Sheff Weds at his age would be cheap like the budgie
would bring Hugill back in on loan if he doesnt come on a free would also bring in Vincent Aboubaker from Besisktas for around 3.5 million and by then at 31 years of age would lead the line superbly would bring in an experienced keeper like Smithies and a young up and coming keeper that cant get a game in the premier league
use my contacts and the midfielders or centre halves i choose be leaders from previous players me (critchley) worked with before.
personally i would have used this current window to do that but who am i?
