He will most likely cost too much, but Muhammed Ofkir from Sandefjord Fotball here in Norway would be perfect for us. An allround striker with bundles of pace, energy and power.

If we're really scraping the barrel £ wise I'd take a punt on Paul Mullin at Wrexham
28 years old & 86 goals in 120 games with 17 in 23 this season alone scoring two hat tricks in his last 4 games.
People will talk about the level but as mentioned you can only score against what's in front of you and also some players just have a knack of putting it away.
I'd take him every single day over that drain on resources useless Scottish wanker we have to endure every poxy week.

Mullin could have had a Championship move when he left Cambridge apparently, but chose to move down a league to join Wrexham as he wanted his kids to grow up near his family in Liverpool. I'm sure this decision was helped by the fact that Wrexham, despite being a National League side, were able to offer him a quarter million quid a season! Good player, but not for me. I doubt he'd make the step up easily at this stage of his career. Let him carry on being a big fish in a pond the size of my kitchen sink.

Very small price to pay for a natural goalscorer. No doubt the statue we have up front is on more than double that!

Don't doubt that mate. Bet he's on 10 times the average wage for the league his in though! Hollywood owners want them out of that league and he's producing the goods. I'm sure there are better players out there but I'm going on the assumption we'll be scraping the barrel, AGAIN!

kabongo tshimanga would maybe be worth a punt too. absolute goal machine last year for chesterfield but a bit absent this year probably because he's butt hurt at not getting a move in the summer.

Aaron Collins at Bristol Rovers another one doing the business.
13 goals & 10 assists in 25 games this season as a striker.

He's struggled at a higher level before and has found a purple patch a couple of divisions down in his mid-20's. We fucked up signing Bonne and Washington off the back of 1 decent goal scoring season.

Lawrence Shankland? Knows where the net is. Another one who's been shite anytime he's been anywhere near a decent league. Maybe we'll have to take a punt on this type of signing, but I very much doubt he'll improve us much.

Unfortunately with our clear remit of not seeming to target a known and efficient striker I feel this is the kind of level we’ll be shopping at. If money was available for a good loan we should be looking to get someone like Cameron Archer or Jamal Lowe.

Apparently Bristol Rovers reckon Collins is worth 5m quid....... so we won't be signing him either mate! 😂

my wish list is as follows
this window
1 Sell Dykes 2. Sell 1 of Chair or Willock at moment it would be Willock as in my opinion hes not the player he was and we may get some meatier wedge than we possibly might in future 3. bring in Archer from Villa on loan 4. bring in jamaal Lowe or someone similar a number 9 striker type pref on a perm deal 5. bring in another number 10 on a perm basis 6. let Roberts go back to Leeds 7 let Richards return to parent club
summer window
1 Release or Sell Johansen and make Field perm captain or someone that Critchley brings in to be perm captain 2. Sell Dieng 3. Replace Dieng with a Alex Smithies Type 4 Make a perm right back signing 5 Sell Dozzell 6 bring in 2 new Central Midfielders 1 from lower leagues of an age that we can develop the 2nd CM a veteran type like Johansen that isnt always injured 7 Sign 2 Strikers on perm basis 8. sell Archer and bring in good competition for the other keeper we have and have 2 good keepers fighting it out for number 1 shirt 9. Give Masterson a proper shot at being part of things 10. get a utility full back in on perm basis that can play left back and right back 11. Sell Jake Clarke Salter 12. replace JCS with a veteran leader type from Critchleys contacts possibly a blackpool centre half?
