What did Tim do last season to warrant us spending that kind of money on him? 1 or 2 decent games but certainly didn't pull up any trees. What little money we have needs to be spent elsewhere imo

Villa looking for £4 million,if you think we are spending that kind of money then I'm afraid u will be disappointed. I'm not a club scout but there must be plenty of players for a lot less money than for a player that scored 1 goal with 1 assist.

Think this would be an excellent signing for us Plus 2 strikers please Think Tim has head in the clouds. Think last season at times he was lazy. Just my opinion.

Do you think the board realise the gravity of the position we are in?
Do you think they will break with previous years and try to get business done early?

we should sign players who 1, give us an opportunity to stay up. and 2, give us the opportunity of coming right back up if we go down. kiefer moore is a good player but i don't see the point in bringing him in on a loan or even perm as there are better players out there.
personally i'd be going all in for macauley langstaff from notts county. guy is one of those natural goalscorer types who will score in any league, he could have the goals to keep us up but if not he could probably get 30 in league 1.

Surely Marti has some mates in lower leagues in Spain? couple of hungry loans maybe? don’t think we can sign those players post-Brexit - there are all sorts of criteria to show they are exceptional talent that you can’t find here, such as record of international appearances. It’s skewed now much more heavily to the domestic market.

Making Les Dof possibly the worst football
Decision possible for Qpr
Crap managers Crap signings No money generated
Six years of awful decisions
That’s why we are here now
Fucking owners are complete cunts
We are the next Derby waiting to happen New training ground but in Div 1 jokers

Looking at Stanley’s Jan Points Prediction thread you have to say that could define our season: in theory winnable games at home against relegation rivals but we have often struggled more against lowly teams than those who like to play.
We now have a team that is defensively mid-table but up front the worst in the league by a distance. This team has virtually no goals in it.
But unless the club has suddenly (without a DoF or a manager with contacts in the English game) learned how to tie up deals amid incredible secrecy there aren’t even any rumours. Suggests to me no one is imminent. If so even if we do manage to pick some striker up on loan last knockings, could it be too late by transfer deadline day?

Have we got any money to spend? If not, who's going? When will that get done and will there be enough time to do business?

Agree, but when you say "bulk" of our business that suggests there will be lots of it. Would be (very pleasantly) surprised if that were the case. I would hope whatever meagre (if any) money is available is put towards a striker, probably on loan unfortunately. Would also love a quarterback kind of midfielder who can pass and control a game but doubt we can have both.

Yes, semantically 'bulk' was perhaps the wrong word. I mean all or any, really!

If Chair does go to dirty Leeds in Jan I hope we can use the transfer fee sensibly and spend some of it in signing Tim Iroegbunam on a permanent transfer, wouldn’t need a DOF or head of recruitment spread sheet to spell out the obvious merits of signing him.

Tim iroegbunam on the bench for villa yesterday, maybe not available for transfer now? My post was made as a sem-reply to Stainrod where he questioned if we would sign anyone without a DOF and a manager from overseas with a presumed limited knowledge of English players. So far this season Aston Villa sold 8 players of which 3 of them (Archer, Philogene and Ramsey) were under a fixed fee buy back agreement, It’s being said it’s as a way of getting around FFP spending regulations and still holding some control of a players future. There have been few rumours recently that Villa could be willing to allow Tim to leave for £4m, although I’m just speculating he may be able to leave under a similar buy-back condition.
