Let’s face it, we are nowhere near having a new stadium and there’s no chance of it being where the fans would want it anyway - so time to think outside the box about LR. For some perspective, the Bus Stop’s oddity cost £70m and Reading, capacity 25k, cost £50m 25 years ago! Granted we probably need to be back in the promise land, and at least be a yo-yo, but LR could be modernised and improved. It would only benefit the fans not the owners although additional capacity would bring in more money over a long period. The place is based on a structural steelwork frame. It wouldn’t take a genius architect and structural engineer to extend the upper tiers deeper if the groundworks are still sound. Additional mezzanine walkways would increase access and there are modern, lightweight roof constructions that would get rid of the pillars. Taller seats would increase legroom - that’s how you get more room in small cars - and all the toilets and bars could be extended with a bit of thought.

Cantilever roofs, which all modern stadia have.

If having more corporate areas is the key to driving non match day income then surely trying to purchase the school then building a multi floor complex same size as away end is one way of doing that. Can connect to the ground so direct access. Would probably allow the blom road stand to be adapted and made bigger.
And if done sensibly you could probably still build in a way that allows the school to still be accommodated so keeping the community ethos.

I attended another Fans Sites meeting back on 14 July 2022, which Hoos chaired.
Following suggestions I raised from posters on RFI regarding the stadium, these are from the minutes:
"1. We are currently looking into eBars to assist with queues and efficiency.
2. We are hoping to get a new in stadia betting partner. There are a number of supporters who do like to do a bet in the ground on the day as opposed to doing it online. Betting kiosks will most likely remain.
3. The Ellerslie Road toilets are currently being refurbished and this will be a big improvement, especially for female supporters. Unfortunately, the water pressure in The Stanley Bowles Stand will not improve, as we are restricted by the water mains on Ellerslie Road.
4. We will make sure all kiosks are sufficiently staffed for the start of the season. We will be implementing nicer food options in time for the first home fixture of the season.
5. We will look at mitigating queuing problems in the Loftus Road stand where there are issues such as people who only want food or only want drink causing queue congestions."

I've never had to pay to park at HQ , every other ground wants £10/15 . A new stadium would turn a lot of fans off if it was difficult to get to . Personally don't see us moving anywhere, the club must of looked at every site in West London by now and nothings happened

Under 18 s for a pound next home game think this actually excellent from the club for any parent
Will fill up the ground improve the atmosphere and make it more of a family day out
My kids are all over 18 so does not affect me but fill the ground every home game

Good idea though; got my 2 bros bringing their kids who otherwise wouldn't be coming.

Fucking ridiculous. Every time I walk past womens toilets its absolutely empty, no queue, no nothing.

Probably is good as a one off trip.
Constantly struggling for food, drink, view and a piss wears off.

Probably is good as a one off trip. Constantly struggling for food, drink, view and a piss wears off. Not to mention the performance is shit too. Come to Loftus Road, ideally suited for people 4 feet and under, and is one of the best examples you will see of the British love of queuing. The performances have shit of late but don’t worry, you won’t see a bloody thing.

They should bring back the drum to improve the match day atmosphere, and I’m not talking about Pete’s one either. When I started going we always stood on the open terrace at the school end and can’t remember where the original drummer was but it got the crowd more involved.
