I don’t believe it’s not a good squad because they were 4th up to March last year and had a good spell this year. They are weak mentally though that is for sure and we are far too soft and nice. Mackie made a good point about the crowd too who aren’t doing enough or making lr anywhere close to intimidating. We just accept games like this too easily. From players to staff to fans. We should be fucking furious with that but there’s the air of inevitability in the stands and in the squad and that for me needs to change. For some reason I think critchly might be able to change it a bit. Toughen these boys up a bit

The hold up could be absolutely anything from budget to salary to gaurentee on players staying etc. it might even be as simple as he didn’t fancy kicking off his tenure with Burnley. Bet he’s in tomorrow or Tuesday |

I still think it’s a good job and I think we are all over thinking why someone isn’t in it already. Could be the new guy has personal commitments but it could be anything. Literally anything. I won’t have it that they don’t have a clue what they are doing, they weren’t to know Beale was a massive cunt. He played them simple as that but it was a good appointment without knowing what we know now. This has to be a good appointment too. The only thing that’s irritated me is hoos saying it will be swift as we’ve got a shortlist etc.

We are bang average....can't see why anyone thinks this squad should be challenging the top 6. Beat Sheffield United and Watford, lose to Blackpool and Huddersfield. That is us all over...inconsistent.
Beale was never going to get us up and he knew it so jumped ship at the first chance where he's only really got 4 tough games all season.
