Same question as nearly 2 years ago.
Dykes crap and overpaid Kelman waste of space Frey old man Armstrong written off and not wanted.
So i will ask again who we going to get that is realistic and would be an improvement within our warchest as someone put it?
Stormy Daniels.

Think Kelman been released Looks to me from the list as though he's been retained, which on the face of it seems incredible. Regarding finding someone, as has been said many times on here other clubs have managed it: Joel Piroe etc etc. I also think we have to look at playing Kolli up top. He looked more dangerous to me in and around the box than any of our supposed strikers.

Kelman definitely signed a contract extension and is contracted for next season. We are not allowed to know how long players are contracted for now, but presumably it would only be one more season. This does not preclude us selling him if we are able to sign better of course. Probably was extended as an insurance - after all, we were staring at League One at the time.

Well the window opens tomorrow so let's see! Exactly! A little early to panic just yet. If the season kicks off and Lydon Dykes on crutches remains our main goal threat then I will be concerned.

When it comes to QPR and strikers, that's all I've got Matty It's like we're allergic to strikers or something ffs. We have clever people running the club now. I would be very surprised if they went into the season with the same weak striking options. I am expecting one striker, but probably a youngster with a lot to prove. If Armstrong has only signed a year's contract would hope someone buy him to free up funds. Sadly can't see anyone buying Lyndon now. Well we've already signed this 19 year old striker from Burnley for the dev squad...

You don’t need to spend fortunes with free market and actually scouting outside the box True in some ways but finding a proven double figure goal scorer in the championship is expensive. Many clubs are looking for the same thing and not coming up with much. My feeling is that we may end up getting someone from abroad on a free or low transfer fee - and then wait for the angry brigade on X to try to destroy him before he pulls on a shirt. Even if Willock stays I do not like the idea of playing him out of position as a no. 9 as has been suggested. He and Chair can be game changers in their natural position - once we start mucking around with their positions they will not be at the same level or might not even be interested in playing there. Not necessarily Robin. Many examples to the contrary here: rfantasyisland.boards.net/thread/2524/striker-situation?page=23&scrollTo=184996rfantasyisland.boards.net/post/189180/thread

Watched some of the pre-season vids. Kolli and Frey looking good...🤞 Frey has really put in some work to get ready for the season. He will never be the most mobile of players but he knows where the goal is. Kolli is giving it his all to get noticed.

Have to say Frey looks like a brand new signing. Lost a bit of timber and already looks sharp. Let's hope he carries that on when the season starts.

I watched the highlights v FC L'Escala. We won 11-0, but even against a team that poor, Armstrong missed some real sitters, including a wide open goal. Not looking like he's improved much, if at all. He's not a striker.

Like I've said previously, wouldn't care a jot if he was moved on. Had loads of games and doesn't look any better than when he first got thrown in.

Divin Mubama … On a free with his stock continually rising but would you be happy with a 19yr old as our only striker brought in? Rumoured previously and would like to happen also giving Frey another year to prove his worth

I'd imagine Marti doesn't want to rock the boat with Dykes. He's got 2 years left on his deal and whilst he's been disappointing for us, I'm sure Marti can make use of him in the squad if no buyer comes in.

yeah and we all know which fucking genius rubber stamped that one, clueless to the last.
LD knows he has to shit or get off the pot this term, there's competition up top for the first time in a billion years, be ineresting to see if that produces any sort of reaction. Because no one is going to come in from him, believe.

I actually think he might be a useful player off the bench if nobody comes in and buys him. Different option to bring on if you wanna go a bit more direct in the 2nd half.
That being said, I'll always probably have a bit more patience for Dykes than most QPR fans cos I've seen him perform well for Scotland far more regularly than he seems to for us.
