Unfortunately that tarnishes the club and legitimizes his point. Only positive in that article is he’s saying within 1-2 seasons we should be able to ‘compete’ again. We’ll see. |

Here in SA it's about all they ever talk about. Then in the UK we have constant campaigns and initiatives. I'm not a fan of any of it. I'm not a believer in positive discrimination or any form of social engineering. To me it's still discrimination, even if it is with good intentions.
Personally I think we should just stop differentiating between different skin colours. Just consider us all to be human beings and let the rest sort itself out. Is that really too much to ask for?

Like with anything else, there's criticism which can be justified and then there's the rest.
Les was employed with absolutely no experience. For which he has been handsomely rewarded. I question the quality of his input (his role re the demise of Warnock mk 2 especially) and deplore the whining tone of much of what he has said in public.
Hughes, Harold, Ollie and Warburton are not black. I questioned their input as well. Then again JFH is black and I thought he was an awful appointment and an awful manager.
In the end though the buck stops with the boardroom genius who oversaw this catalogue of poor decision making. #cornershop #fillingstation

He's obviously really pissed off about it and decided to have a pop back at the people that hurled the abuse to call them out

I see you've merged two separate threads here Stan. I'm not sure that's helpful in this instance as there is a long gap between Les's proclamations and they reference difference things, the obvious connection being of course that he talks about racism. I think a link to the previous thread would have sufficed. However, it does highlight that this is something Les is passionate about (one way of looking at it), or perhaps he feels he's not being heard by the media? Perhaps he wants to be a spokesperson?

That seems plausible, but the timing was bad and it just heaps pressure on the whole club and him especially ahead of a very challenging last part of the season, imo. Tony being investigated is a seperate issue, but what about keeping a low profile for a while? |
