Never heard any rascism home of away from our fans , Les should name names provide proof and ban these idiots After the Bristol game I was going down the stairs from the Upper Loft and as I reached the bottom where those from the Paddocks join in I caught the end of conversation along the lines of "so what would you do then?" "I'd get rid of that useless black cunt and he can take his mate Hoos with him too, both fucking useless". I was going to push through the crowd a bit and say something but then I thought, what's the point? It would probably never change him from being a racist cunt and I could end up with a stadium ban. I admit that I hardly ever hear such blatant racism, it's been many years but there used to be the odd subtle remark about Onuoha, Traoré, M'Bia etc. along the lines of "what do you expect from their sort?" and "not surprised (n) hasn't got the heart for a battle, what do you expect?" The sort of remarks which some will argue that they are innocent enough, I was just looking to see something that wasn't there etc. Racism hasn't fully gone away, although it is much better at W12 than nearly all other grounds and the vast majority of fans are very supportive of initiatives to remove racism, homophobia and misogyny at QPR.

There is racism and homophobia at QPR if you open your ears and eyes and were honest about it (same as their is in every club across country) perhaps it’s more sub conscious bias then out there racism but it’s there. If Les has been subject to it he’s right to call it out
We’re way better then other clubs though and spurs and arsenal aside I think we prob have most black followers in London

back in the early 90s i heard some twat shout out pigme at paul parker.
been going on and off for 4 decades, and that was the only racial issue that i witnessed at our club.
I'm very proud that we are not one of the nasty lot that sing racist songs and shout slurs at players.
tony adams being the exception.
no room for racism in football.

www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53863879 Ramsey at it now as well. I honestly would prefer it if our Directors stayed out of these type of conversations. It's so divisive. And let's be fair, everyone in the footballing world knows our stance as a club on the subject already.

Not being funny, but as far as I'm concerned if you're good enough to get the job you should, regardless of your skin colour. I can count on one hand the number of BAME managers who have had the opportunity and are actually any good.

I read the article and not really sure what to make of it, so let's cut to the chase here: Is he essentially saying that British football is still systemically prejudice against black coaches and managers?

That's certainly the point I feel he is trying to make. I don't see it myself. I honestly believe if a manager is good enough, they'll be given a top job. I don't see any side in the Football League harbouring the sort of views that would prevent a BAME manager or coach from landing a job.

I'd genuinely like to see his evidence that it still exists. If British football's higher echelons are really prejudiced then how is it we have so many foreign (multi-racial) managers?

i don't get it either and i'm someone who considers myself to be pretty liberal lol. does racism still exist in british football? of course, just like it does everywhere else but it's highly isolated and the work to combat racism within the game has come on leaps and bounds over the past 20 years. i don't doubt that there are racist individuals within various clubs but it will be difficult for them to use their position to hold back or destroy a minority player or coach's career because of the spotlight on racism now. there isn't systematic racism within football pure and simple.
i don't know what else can really be done to give minority's more of a chance of breaking into coaching roles than what is currently being done tbh.

Yes of course it's impossible to ever fully eradicate racism sadly. There will always be bad apples. But to state that it's systemic within the game as a whole is a very different matter, which I'd like to see his evidence for.

I think the problem is the extreme left leaning in society expect equality of outcome these days. When that doesn't happen they take it to be categoric proof of systemic prejudice/racism.
