How can he play in the unders the previous day then not be in the team photo? Whatever the issue is it’s not stopping him turning out for the kids. Smells like an absolute wrongun to me. If we can cancel his contract we should, it’s not like we’d miss him. Need the club to come clean on this one but not even any major rumours other than what happened with his mates. Someone knows but surely professional pride should come into it at some point, for someone who bleated on about how great it was to be signing for the club he watched as a kid it’s a bit of a shit show to not turn up and work hard. Something clearly isn’t right

"personal issues" is very vague, if it was a family tragedy then surely something like "personal grievence" would have been more appropriate? i think its more likely that its more so that richards is warring against the club tbh as dobbo insinuated. he's a very talented player who has a lot of potential but he needs to get onboard - if only for his own career. football is a very small world and word gets around so he's only damaging himself really. |

Long term I don’t think this regime will work but what I do like is that they are not putting up with wasters - you turn up, keep fit, track back or you don’t play. Was staggered a year ago to read that young players like Armstrong were not even given any instruction on diet, players were turning up wearing any old shit, others were going off partying big time on a Saturday night after another tonking.
Am sure it’s still far from perfect but we seem to be standing up to player power and bad apples are no longer indulged.
