Did Kelman play many games at Southend mate? I don't even think he had a full season in the first team. I don't disagree on the rest. Whilst I'm not even convinced Smyth will ultimately do much at Championship level, the sad truth is he's excited me more in a QPR shirt than any of our current strikers bar Austin. kelman scored 7 in 19 last season for an abysmal southend side. maybe a loan might be better for kelman next season? i think he's a talented player though and expect him to come good, idk how well he's doing in our U23s. i wish esox still came on this forum as he kept up with the U23s a great deal more than i do lol. Yeah, noticed a few posters missing.......... esox, rscot, and a mystery fella that had his account deleted in the past two weeks. btw, what has happened to Brighton.

He might be referring to 1973 Ranger who’s early posts now show up as deleted. Anyway he’s certainly back now and with a vengeance 🙂

Rscot ran off in an apparent huff on a recent match thread, as no one answered his questions. By the time they got answered he’d left for dust!

Rscot ran off in an apparent huff on a recent match thread, as no one answered his questions. By the time they got answered he’d left for dust! Amazing that he was able to get his knickers in a twist because he had to wait 5 minutes for a reply to his question on Kakay´s position in the formation. It´s a match day thread and people are busy watching the game FFS. But maybe he was just looking for an excuse to ditch his new found love of QPR, which is understandable, as he would have probably found little to no joy in the comments on Dykes performances of late. #bonheur2.0

Jimmy Cranky always weirded me out a bit. I mean let's dissect it a bit. A middle aged comedy act for kids TV that are a couple, where the wife dresses up as a schoolboy?
If that doesn't scream out sexual deviant, I don't know what does.

Only on RFI could a thread about Charlie Kelman end up being a discussion about the sexual activities of the Krankies😂😂 No.1 message board for entertainment!

looks pretty exceptional for an 18 year old battling it out in league 1. great signing imo Just watched this back. I appreciate this is a few leagues lower than the Championship, but he looks a totally different player. Not even glimpses of that type of goal scoring ability in a QPR shirt.

He's worth a start Tarbs, and told to play his natural game. Charlie won't be averse to bollocking him if he's getting it wrong. At the moment with the alternatives not scoring what's to lose? He's got enough subs to take him off if it goes nowhere.

Would you have kept Kelman about then 77? I would actually. There's a b team now. He can learn his trade here. I'd have Nakhi or Jordan back too.

Would you have kept Kelman about then 77? This is like Shodipo all over again. Will we saying the same thing again next season with Lloyd? Warburton stresses it’s a squad game but clearly not if you’re a striker. It IS a squad game so why not include a young striker, who they obviously fancied to bring him here, and let him develop in the first team squad?

Don't think Kelman has looked anywhere near ready for this level of football myself. Ain't any point in keeping someone about who isn't gonna get a game.
Do agree on Shodipo though. No idea why he's been sent out this season. Did well on loan last season. Should really be given his chance.

I would question why we signed him in the first place tbh. He is a progression(?) from the old inside forward playing off a centre forward but Warburton plays with one up, a target man, and as long as he is our manager Kelman won’t play. If we wanted him for the future we should have left him with Southend on loan, better for him and probably, as it has turned out, for them too. Shodipo is out because we don’t play with a wide man so Kelman’s got no chance as we don’t play his position either.

Actually agree with 77 here. With the B team being set up I'd have kept him and watched him play for them. There's clearly a player in there somewhere. If we're gonna loan him out though it has to be at least League 1.

Shodipo is out because we don’t play with a wide man so Kelman’s got no chance as we don’t play his position either. he's a very raw player but certainly has talent imo, 8 goals in 35 games for a shocking southend team as a 17/18 year old in league 1 is pretty impressive so he was certainly worth a punt, i think we signed him for 500k or something. hasn't worked out for him yet but it doesn't look like his head has dropped when he has played for us. who knows what he'll be like in 3 years time? if he's a 20 goal a season striker then i'm sure we'll find a way to fit him into our system lol. the thing about our B team is its still in its infancy and isn't even established yet. they'll be playing national league sides and probably reserve sides of prem clubs but league 1 or 2 is still a higher level than what the B team will be at so its a good move. plus it'll give kelman a chance to grow as a person and as a player.

If as reported we are trying to get all our teams to play the same way throughout the club - ManCityLite - then shouldn’t our players be learning our game with us not at a lower level? If we are fully committed then get rid of anyone who can’t hack it, don’t kick the can down the road with a loan.

They have to make find Kelman a club which play like football like us. Div 1 or a club abroad even. Scandinavia would suit his style and vice versa.
