Now we not a wealthy club so I’m told. Not huge fan base either, football apart from the premiership got to be worried. Their energy bills must be huge and going up and up. Supporters if can’t pay their own bills arnt going to go football are they. Talking to heating oil delivery driver at pad working on and he said amount of companies he goes too are on the brink. Pubs opening 3 days a week cost energy bill£5k etc. Football could be in serious trouble, and country will be bankrupt way it going and on fire with riots. Thoughts?

Seriously, you raise good point. Not just ticket price, it’s getting there, beer, burger - not to mention bringing kids.

You think, got ground, training ground, massive amounts water electricity, that’s without everything else just to keep club running going up. Pple if they don’t do something drastic very soon won’t be going anywhere let alone entertainment. Clubs could fold at lower levels.

While we bitch, moan and argue the so called responsible collect their mega wage and don't give a toss about Joe Publlc. PM fiasco will promise this that and the other but no accountability and will just reanague and break their promises just like the triple lock for senior citizens earlier this year.

If they don’t cap energy, pubs will close on mass. Councils will shut your local swimming pool. Your local restaurant will go. Football haha, once it hits your middle income bods then shit really hit fan. At mo it’s already poor fuckers whom don’t do entertainment or luxuries, but you wait.

The country is fucked. The thing is, am not sure a lot of people out there realise quite how royally fucked we are.
Brexit - trade massively down. Energy - Putin laughing in a way as his revenue from oil and gas has actually increased since sanctions to record highs, but the public left to pick up the tab Truss - next PM says some tax cuts to the already well off is the answer Economy - we don't make anything and the financial services our economy depends on now fucked due to Brexit (see above). Rents - sky rocketing as private landlords being forced out of the market
Oh and our next prime minister says British workers can't graft while the current pm is off enjoying his next holiday because he can't be fucked to run the country or even address the massive crisis. You really couldn't make it up.
I fully expect there to be riots exceeding the poll tax riots in the next 12 months. Amazing more people don't see what's coming down the track but judging by this thread at least Rs fans seem a bit more aware than the majority.

When loads of firms shut, unemployment go through roof, so cost of benefits will dwarf any energy help they give. What I would now is stop all foreign aid, we need the cash here. No more weapons to anyone for free. No more refugees or asylum seekers. The costs daily for these are huge and rather money spent on our poor.

Stainroad. 1) Not exactly QPR related. 2) Utterly depressing. 3) Completely right.

most i ever paid for a drink was £36 for 2 double disorano's and coke in a piccadilly nightclub. mental.
prices for everything are just through the roof now, getting on the housing ladder for example is almost impossible unless you have help from a wealthy relative. i earn good money in my trade but no way could i save up the required money for a deposit unless i did some extreme saving for the next ten years.

Thing is the wealthy don’t give a toss. They prob own shares in all the companies we been raped by so get nice dividends. The top politicians all rich so talk a good struggle w/o living one ever. Just had a theatre on in bury st Edmunds. Their bill gone up 137% in a year to £82k. Ok not going to effect most of us but this is bloody every business. So we now saving the energy companies thanks to offgem but soon they go bust because no one will afford to pay all their bills. Still £400 going to save each of us, clueless cants. But we pay 4 million plus a day to look after illegals in our country.

If I was fleeing war, wouldn't leave my mum , wife or sister behind . Can't blame people for wanting a better life but surely when seeing hotels full of young men 18-40 weve got to wake up to the fact were being rumped

Lockdowns not Covid or Brexit is along with the Ukraine and Russia conflict have fast forwarded how fucked we are. Covid has for sure had a massive impact but you are wrong on Brexit. Before Brexit the UK had the highest growth in the G20. Now we are second bottom behind just Russia which is at war. All the other countries have been hit by lockdowns/ covid to varying degrees. The Treasury itself (Tory run) admits Brexit has had a massive impact. Many British firms have simply given up trying to export. Covid has actually provided convenient cover to hide the devastating impact of Brexit. Might not be what Brexit voters want to hear and they would no doubt claim there are other arguments for it - but the cold hard numbers don’t lie

The country is fucked because…. We all wanted cheaper stuff and so it was shipped off to be made grown etc , by 5 yr olds on 3p a year to do this. So we all happy it’s cheap but nothing left much being made here but it’s ok it’s cheap. Then the world got took over by liberal we know what’s best for you types whom decided that because they want the world their way the majority got to conform and pay through roof to do so. Then we embraced the dream of capitalism and big companies basically took the piss out of us and charged us what they wanted.
