You can’t put a price on leadership like that and this is why I say the actual armband is irrelevant in todays modern game as he’s not the captain but he’s doing the role regardless.
Leaders don’t need an armband they just do it as it’s their personality

i would let him and JCS do 1 and not play them again

Balogun was conspicuous by his absence in the haka video the other day. Everyone else was there, even the rest of the injured players (Willock, Laird etc). I found that rather telling...

When Balogun played for us it looks like he was genuinely injured as he had pulled out of Nigeria squad at that exact time, it looks like Beale could have persuaded him to play despite nursing an injury similar situation with Willock and Amos.
Same with Laird he’s probably the best player on our books in that position.
