Field may look ungainly at times but I think today he showed Iroegbunam he won’t allow him to take his place easily.

Fantastic Result at a difficult place to go. Agreed. Love it when we beat Brizzle City at Ashton Gate, feels like 4 points!

Great result. As others have said we should have been out of sight at half time. That said after we weathered the storm we looked reasonably comfortable and they didn’t have a sniff really in seven mins of injury time. There was a long period when Rangers would have been nailed on to concede a last min equaliser

What’s our best midfield now btw? Thought Field back to his best, Stef also now more the player we thought we had. I know he is v young but not 100 per cent convinced about Tim. He’s not our player so not our duty to improve him. Prob will turn into a useful unit but as of now is he better than Dozzell?

Thought Iroegbunam was guilty of trying to overplay in bad areas on a few occasions today but undoubtedly will improve over time. Dont think either him or Field are a good combination and the same could be said of Johansen and Dozzell as both pairings are too similar in playing style. I would guess one of each pairing with Richards or Amos will be our go to MF trio when available.

Field organized our defensive game very well, especially first half.

I would guess one of each pairing with Richards or Amos will be our go to MF trio when available. The key is Amos’ fitness long term. He’s in the best m/f if fit and he’s definitely someone who can improve his game - which is the job Beale’s been brought in to do. Reads a game well, gets in the right places defensively and on the attack so is our box to box man but needs to score more goals.

Looks like Seny was lucky not to be red carded for handling the ball outside the box.

Hope JCS not too badly injured. Didn't look happy when he went off. I’m thinking now it was more he was going play 60mins as coming back Apparently it was just cramp which is a relief. And with Paal it was just a dead leg. So nothing serious for either by the sound of it. Fantastic Result at a difficult place to go. Agreed. Love it when we beat Brizzle City at Ashton Gate, feels like 4 points! 2nd season on the trot we've won there. Becoming their bogey team!

Looks like Seny was lucky not to be red carded for handling the ball outside the box. from where i was, which was near enough bang in line with seny's 'handball' at the other end of the pitch i don't think it was outside the box when he grabbed it. very close certainly but just inside the box. it happened very quickly though lol.

I thought it was in the box too but there may have been some sleight of hand! Another of his many talents 😅

Same as a pen is given if you’re on the box line. If it was out the box Pearson would have been moaning about it in interview so that’s good enough for me

Mick Beale discusses his side's 2-1 Championship victory over Bristol City and hails on-loan Leeds United man Tyler Roberts as a fantastic talent, after the attacker opened the scoring for Queens Park Rangers. Beale praises his team for their performance and also provides an update on Jake Clarke-Salter and Kenneth Paal after the pair were subbed off.
00:00 Thoughts on the performance 01:03 I knew we’d have to grind at some stage, I’m delighted 02:06 Tyler Roberts grew in confidence after his goal 02:54 Jake Clarke-Salter had cramp, Jimmy was disappointed to come out and Leon made a big error for the goal 04:07 Paal had a dead leg but we’re hoping he can recover, the schedule is making it tough for us 05:02 It’s the way the fixtures fall, it probably evens itself out 06:03 ‘The system we play is unique’ 07:44 Tactical changes during the game 08:40 Roberts’ World Cup hopes and what he needs to do more of

What is unique about our system? Is it playing 3 number 10s?
Don’t think systems and formations mean the same things?
When MB talks about system I would guess it’s the team structure? ie the different positions our players take up both in and out of possession.
