Some of the best results ive ever had have been grubby sordid gritty affairs. Would have been happy if we won Burnley or Norwich like that, but Wigan......no. That’s a fair point. If you want to go up some teams you have to beat and some you should be burying. That said, the points haul is great and you can’t play brilliantly all the time.

I’m happy because we won but the worst performers today were Amos and Dozzell and they haven’t played every game from memory. Tim I think fair enough I was more disappointed in Laird today Stainrod, probably because he’s set such high standards. Don’t really think Amos and Dozzell are game changers without having more of a threat upfront after Armstrong went off Laird not at his best for sure - maybe not fully fit? Amos just seemed to chase shadows. Dozzell hardly noticed him touch the ball. Balogoun (apart from one error) a rock, Field good again. But was poor how we resorted to hoof ball late on and unlike us, imagine Beale will be all over that in training

The flow changed when the captain departed . Some mediocre performance's today from a lot of players . But 3 points In the bag and we kick on . It won't be champagne every week.

Great first half, shit second and awful subs from the gaffer but it’s the points that matter and we walked off the pitch with them so happy days.
Second half poor as Dykes reverted to his usual self and we missed Tim breaking the lines. Beale will have learned alot from that second half

Arguably as bad as we have played this season however we took the three points. Andre Dozzell what does he actually do and what is the point of him? Thought Dykes, Balogun and Field were our best players today. One game next will help the players as well

Three best bits for me.
Three points. The atmosphere - Loftus Road was noisy, ‘Mick Beale’s Blue Army’ rang out for minutes at a time. Paal- bloody excellent.

Oh, and the guy who won the Community Trust prize of taking a penalty, buried it like Dykes’ one a against Cardiff

5 games to go before the WC - Norwich will be a test. Our last 3 games are against the bottom 3. Gotta think we'll still be top after that run.

A game of two halves.
Some absolutely beautiful football the first half with one touch passing, runs and of course goals.
Second half was a damp squib and were hanging on in the end but that's good. Putting the team through the mill.
A good ugly win and a great week.

Just catching up with the thread: Laird not at his best for sure - maybe not fully fit? Amos just seemed to chase shadows. Dozzell hardly noticed him touch the ball. Balogoun (apart from one error) a rock, Field good again. But was poor how we resorted to hoof ball late on and unlike us, imagine Beale will be all over that in training Agree, but I would also single out JCS who was superb again yesterday. He's going under the radar a bit but if you watch him he's so composed and rarely puts a foot wrong. Formidable partnership he's building with Balogun who will make JCS even better with his greater experience. The flow changed when the captain departed . Our dynamic play definitely seemed to disappear the moment Stef went off. That was the real turning point as we were totally running rings round Cardiff til that point. Just shows how important Stef is to us. Dozzell just isn't on that level yet, good player as he is too. It won't be champagne every week. Exactly. we missed Tim breaking the lines. Very much so. Another 9 out of 10 performance from him yesterday! Beale will have learned alot from that second half I'm positive he has. Some absolutely beautiful football the first half with one touch passing, runs and of course goals. So true Jimmy. An absolute delight to watch. I was literally gasping with amazement at some of our play.
