Obviously not but if there was a breakup with Ferdinand he had to go. Ferdinand represents the continuity in our club.

I think if you'd asked that after 4 months you'd have said it absolutely had worked. What's happened since has been shambolic though.
From what I've heard from a few folks, Warburton was always going to go at the end of his deal. Sounds like he was quite a divisive character that wasn't universally liked at the club.

Has sacking Warbs worked? New man only been in place 5 league games and has only lost once, so way too early to tell. Should know by end of the season.

Warbs was never going to take us up. Who is? Probably have to wait for regime change for that to happen. It doesn't matter who the manager is, it really doesn't, if the board, CEO DoF, Belk and the whole questionable apparatus are still in place. At the very best we've had years of mediocrity, especially re exec decision making.

Maybe Ferdinand should have gone and Warburton stayed.
His exit has not resulted in any improvement in any aspect that I’ve observed under Beale or Critch.
Still early days so time will tell.

Warburton was saved 2 years ago by Johansen and Charlie coming in. He did a good job and maybe it is not the manager we should judge but the players and board for not improving the playing staff.

Slippery Beale was a huge improvement on Warburton and who wouldn’t be. I really don’t understand how some still think he did a great job spending 12m and getting to 10th leaving us with no full backs, no strikers and an injury prone squad.

Fuck warbs.
Made some shambolic decisions and was not liked.
Looks good on him because we’re struggling but no one was saying his name when we were top 4-5 start of the season.

No idea I don’t follow West Ham. You tell me? Moyes is expected to be culled. Why did you delete part of my original post regarding his spending and how he left behind such a poor squad despite spending 12m?

If you move the ball slowly around at the back any decent, organised press will find you out.
And that's basically what happened. People twigged. We continued to try and play a brand of football that was way past its sell by date.
Critch needs to sit down and watch how it all fell apart, there have been worrying signs that our play outs have slowed down again.

So bring in a striker in Jan 22, and don’t upset the winning streak by changing a winning team just because it was Chair coming back, and we might not have dipped into relegation form, he might still be here and we might have got promoted. He clearly wanted out - who knows, may already have known about his next job?

Warbs was good at start everywhere he been , then goes south. Fans turn not just here. If Noddy holder was winning games now we wouldn’t even be talking about that dull cant.

For me it’s clear Warburton judgment was to spend £12m on players, relatively few have justified that kind of outlay but with the benefit of hindsight he was a better bet to take the club forward than Noddy Holder.
