As a pointless (but maybe interesting) exercise, I've taken the Championship form guide over the last 6 matches, calculated the average points-per-game over those games and applied those points-per-game to all Championship games to the end of the season. Numbers obviously rounded by the spreadsheet. Currently looking a little worrying. Will update next weekend.  |

Whilst the form is bleak in Most seasons 40-42 points keeps you safe in this league.
That’s two wins the rest of the season. Surely this lot can grind two wins out from 13 games. Had we not folded sheff utd or Swansea we would have the points and would be a boring snooze cruise next few months.
There are crazy season when 48+ points were needed but is this one of them.
I think we will get the two wins, it don’t cover up what’s gone on since October but do think we will find the wins. Will be like double decker buses we will win one then get another it’s sods law.

Think we’ll be ok but couldn’t tell you exactly which games will yield the points needed. Shocking that we are in this position though, what a fucking mess our club is.

All we have to do is match what others around us do week on week. We ought to be able to do that. We have an advantage already, we don’t even have to win matches to stay ahead of the drop. Surely we can focus on that.

Looking at the table suggests around 46 points will be needed for survival this season. Basically we just have to replicate our form since the Burnley game to achieve that, which should be possible. |

Got to believe we'll get 8 points from 13 games with a lot of games with the lower end of the table. Trouble is those lower teams will be fighting not sure all of this lot will. |
