Great news this! I thought the deadline for any deduction this season passed about a week or two ago? But the BBC report makes no mention of it being deferred till next season. "Reading have been deducted six points by the English Football League for breaching the terms of an agreed business plan for a previous profit and sustainability rule breach. It marks the first decision handed down by the independent club financial reporting unit (CFRU). The deduction leaves Reading 20th in the Championship, with 40 points, one above the relegation zone."  |

Do you have any sympathy for Reading? I don't. If they've broken the rules let the cants take their medicine and pay for it. QPR certainly haven't been immune to heavy EFL punishments meted out over the years.

Agreed - very negative comments. I know some fans take a perverse pleasure in their manager publicly slating his players after a defeat but just don't see how those comments improve your chances at this stage. All the clubs at the bottom are a bit shit or they wouldn't be there - a good manager, like Warnock, builds them up and gives them a "never say die" attitude. Ince doesn't seem reconciled to the fact he is working with players of a bit less ability than when he was at Man U etc.

I had visions of that Rotherham v Cardiff match being re-arranged at the end of the season with both teams knowing what kind of result was required to reach safety.
The fixture has now been confirmed as Thursday 27 April meaning both team will have to play 3 games in an 8 day period.

Norwich and Burnley will be tough. We need a result of some sort against Coventry otherwise it puts massive pressure on the players for the last two games of the season.

Coventry will be extremely hard to beat hence a draw will be excellent. On a bit different note: My hope is that Huddersfield eventually will be found out. I wonder why teams simply use their own weapons against them? Park the bus and take them on the break? I know the sight of Warnock most probably is frightening for players and managers, but his team is not Real Madrid. It`s actually Huddersfield Town.
