Isn’t it likely Man I have the final say when Laird should feature after returning from injury. There will be a lot of discussion behind the scenes we’re not privy to regarding when he should feature. No doubt Man U’s physios overule ours, let’s face it why wouldn’t they. Isn’t that a likely scenario, or is is too far fetched. I bet they can’t wait to get him away from the shit storm that is hovering over W12, so they can send him to a better run club next season and in the process protecting their asset from further injury, which we have previous for inflicting on players.

I think it’s more that he got booed coming off last home game so Msybe stupidly trying protect him. He was able come on Saturday so clearly fit and was on bench West Brom.

I see others are posting the similar but this nonetheless my take at it - GA is now close to being crowned the fall guy.

Protecting him due to a hard string of games coming up. GA can't win it seems like. Imo.

I wouldn’t place too much emphasis on integrity. Premier league clubs have been getting away with making their players unavailable for national games for years, using injury as an excuse. When it comes to loaning players to lower leagues, I can’t imagine it’s too difficult to pressure a club to toe the line. If nothing else the “it’ll be the last time we loan to you” card is played

Telling you now, Pep Guardiola wouldn't do a much better job with the club in the shit it's in. Players, board, DoF, all of it.

Dieng Kakay Dunne Dickie Paal Field Johansen Willock Amos Chair Dykes
This is the side that beat Middlesbrough 3-2 earlier in the season, and with some tweaks, won against Watford, Millwall, Sheffield United…
This side could start any of our last few games.
What the fuck is so different that they can’t buy a win?

Why put him on bench then? Who knows, to get on for the last 15 mins if absolutely necessary?

Completely different mentality around the place now than when Beale was in charge. If Beale came back he'd fare no better than Ainsworth.

Well the fact is that we simply don't know what would happen, do we? It's all just speculation. But the reality is that Beale had this squad purring; I was there when we tonked Cardiff 3-0 and we looked classy. The disintegration since then is spectacular, and of course Beale's departure was a big part of it,
BUT that does not preclude the right person being able to restore confidence, build the team back up and get them scoring and not conceding again. It wasn't impossible that that scenario could have occured. Was Critchley the right choice at that moment? Well, maybe. He didn't get a proper chance, did he? He had a terrible injury list and his tenure was through the worst part of winter. If the board and DoF had any balls they would have stuck with Critchley, ignored the fans freaking out like they always do, and given Critchley the season to turn it around. Because I think what we can say is that Critchley set the team up better than Ainsworth ever has, bar that one soiitary win v Watford, which we all thought marked a turning of the corner, but now looks like it was a peak fucking moment in Ainsworth's tenure.

Right don't judge missy on style etc just results. Way I see it he has one job this season only when he joined,by hook or crook survival. He can still do it but he not helping himself. If we get relegated then he has failed simple. He has had enough games to get the points nec

He's just the wrong answer, period. Awful appointment and for 3.5 years. Dunno why we couldn't have got someone at least proven at this level on a short term, plenty doing that like Palace. It was the obvious thing to do. Instead we load up and aim for our feet as per. Cunts.
Agreed - about as bad an appointment and situation as they could possibly have mustered. There's no way he should be managing us next season. We should be looking for exactly the same kind of manager/coach that we were when the board appointed Beale. Someone like Liam Richardson perhaps. Someone who can build the squad, bring in the youth, etc. etc. etc. But of course the other caveat is that Les and co have to go.
We had that in Critchley lol

This. With two in the middle getting totally murdered by three in a diamond. The two are shit, sure, but three pieces of shit in the middle would make some difference. Even 4231. Mug tbh.

Reality check folks. Blaming Gareth Ainsworth here is like using an elastoplast instead of a tourniquet to stem life-threatening external bleeding. Again, the problem at QPR is a top-down systemic one that begins with totally clueless and incompetent owners. When you have a problem like that, what's happened with us has been an absolute inevitability, flowing from the boardroom, through the CEO, DOF, coaches, medical staff and right down to the players at pitch level. Off course he not totally to blame, but he played his part Yes, he's played his part. But focusing mainly on him allows the chief culprits (the owners) to play divide and conquer with the fanbase. Don't fall into that trap. Exactly. Ainsworth’s not perfect but he’s a patsy to Les and Les likewise to the owners. It’s slopey shoulders all the way down to Ainsworth but at the moment that’s where it stops because he won’t call out the players for their shortcomings. Constantly changing the bloke at the bottom doesn’t solve the bigger issues.

To be fair, Laird got found out months ago. Would rather see Kakay play before him any day of the week.

Not sure I like the fact that he’s criticising Critchley…..especially when Ainsworth has a far worse record, conceded more and scored less…..and all against worse sides. I’d limit the talking if I was him.

I’d limit the talking if I was him.As the nominated local media outlet, I think he's contractually obliged to do interviews with WLS. Agree with many of the criticisms levelled against him regarding tactics, but I'd rather hear what he has to say and let him live or die by his words.
