Anyway, if the owners had the cojones and the money to back themselves, they'd sack him pronto and get in someone who actually knows what they're doing. I thought the logic was they hired him because we can't spend any money. And they won't sack him for exactly the same reason. IOW he was and is the only manager in the top two tiers who would have come to us with a spending budget of precisely zero. |

It’s difficult to say he’s got no budget without knowing exactly how much he actually started with. None of us are aware of the salaries of Begovic, Larkarche, Smyth and Fox. There were strong rumours that Forino was likely if we can agree a transfer fee, Wing,Martin, Gape and Max Power were lined up but decided to go elsewhere. I find it demoralising the quality of players he’s going for, because on paper they look poor. Realistically if everybody was fit how many of his signings would be first choice, only Bergovic looks a nailed on starter. Already I would have to question if the rest of the players he signs or has already signed have been money well spent if they are just squad fillers and don’t play regularly where we are urgently short. |

It’s difficult to say he’s got no budget without knowing exactly how much he actually started with. None of us are aware of the salaries of Begovic, Larkarche, Smyth and Fox. has his account set to repeat post that we have zero money. So quite frankly I don't know who or what to believe anymore. |

as i've always said about gaz, give him some time. i'm not stupidly blind to the problems but we don't really have much choice and unless big money offers come in for chair+willock or eze gets sold this is our reality.
i try my best to be optimistic so we must bare in mind that gaz did a tremendous job with wycombe who're in a similar (albeit lesser) position to us.
we need to make some signings and for sure we will.

Just find those quotes odd, personally. agree but after a 5-0 loss to a league 1 side idk what else he's really supposed to say. lots of negatives for sure but the positives (if that can be said) is that it lowers expectations and may also serve as a wakeup call to the board. we have what, 16 senior players? not even enough to fill a matchday squad. while i'm all for youth players it'll be a baptism of fire for them this season were most of them end up burned to a crisp. one or two might make it and will be helpful in league 1 as thats were we'd head without any additional signings. frankly we need to make around 5 of them, not dominic gape types but actual good ones who can step into the championship. morgan fox is a good addition for the squad but weres the talented guys? even looking on transfermarkt there are players avaliable who'd bolster the squad like the RBs ryan nyambe and fankaty dabo. |

Truly embarrasing result and his post match interview was equally embarrasing. Why wait for the inevitable beatings that are coming our way. A big clear was needed with funds needed to get fresh blood in but it looks we will be going into battle with the crap minus a few others. Not a shred oflight or promise going into this season.
