Poor bloke his heart has ruled his head. He seriously has his work cut out with these cowards. If we survive get rid of the lot of them.

Looked up for it and then just wilted.
Ainsworth needs to learn who will do 90 mins of graft and quick

Looked up for it and then just wilted. Ainsworth needs to learn who will do 90 mins of graft and quick Seny, Kakay, Dunne, Paal, Stefan, Chair and Martin. None of the rest. And that includes ever present Field who grafts but offers nothing else offensively.

Shame we lost Marshall IMO

Gareth was given 3 envelopes by Critchley just before he left and told him to open the first one after the first defeat, the second after the second defeat etc. When Gareth opened it it said "Blame the previous manager."
Gareth couldn't wait for the second defeat so he opened the second envelope. It said "Blame the players."
He then opened the 3rd defeat envelope which said "Put 3 notes into envelopes"!!

In the post-match interview he said he would work on cohesion and organisation in the team. Heaven knows that is needed. Drop Tim Iroegbunam for a start...has no clue where to be at any point during the game leaving us totally disorganised in a key area.
Need more experience in the side as we are getting pulled apart too easily every week

I tend to agree with you, but Ainsworth thought he was dangerous playing further up the field. Richards is probable better tactically if given a chance now.. PS. Tim I. is here to learn and that includes developing his tactical skill while playing for us.

As for development of Tim I...that is essentially development for Villa which is something we should have no interest in right now based on our league position. WE don't have the time to waste on him and as harsh as that sounds, that is the absolute reality.

Would agree with West Acton’s post somewhere asking the club to stop using Ainsworth as a puppet or propaganda machine with the fans
Some parts of Ainsworth post match were ok in that he appeared to recognise we need to make huge improvements defensively. I also liked he didn’t throw them under the bus but would have stopped well short of saying we have great players at this club. I’m already tired of him making promises to fans and gushing about how great the club is and how good the people above him are
Less would be more with him right now so hope the club just let him quietly get on with the job.

I forgot to say really liked him blanking talk about injured players yesterday, it’s noticeable that Mcollough at WLS were using that angle to undermine both Critchley and the players commitment to playing.

This group of players go behind and they will collapse as usual like a pack of cards. This group assembled by our recruitment team and D.O.F are not to be trusted I say this every week mate. First goal so important in all our games as 1) we don't score enough to get 2-3 goals to draw or win games and 2) the heads instantly drop. Yea I get the haka thing but that's twice now GA has said in interviews that he needs to find the generals in the team, and everyone will agree that is what we're severely lacking as you both allude to. He expanded further by saying even if the leaders aren't immediately apparent then that exercise will hopefully inspire any leadership qualities to be brought out, especially as it's a fairly young squad so it could be latent. The other point is, regardless of whether people think it's a good idea or not, at least it shows that GA has been able to correctly identify one of the main weaknesses within the squad and attempt to address it. And whilst on the topic of 'outside the box' approaches, ballet, whatever people's alluded preconceptions, is incredibly good for athletic balance amongst other factors: www.google.com/search?q=footballers+%22ballet+training

I would question our poor performances are related to lack of leadership qualities within the team, it’s more to do with our players unable to compete on equal terms with opponents due to a lack of fitness conditioning and stamina.
Forget doing Haka sessions get them out doing mini pre season runs as there’s still plenty of time left of this season to improve fitness levels.

Agree with all that too Sparks, and who's to say GA is not also addressing that.
There's no doubt though that the team lacks on-field generals too, which is also a problem.

Ainsworth will be just the right manager for us if we get relegated. Proven and successful there. Think we would have a possibility to bounce back within five seasons and perhaps stronger as we are now. Would probably have to let Dieng, Field, Johansen, Chair and Willock go. All the rest good League One or Two quality.
