There are a lot of things about Ainsworth that trouble me, but as I said when Beale started - you can only work with what's available. We had no strength in depth at the end of July and it looks even worse now.
The common factor in all this is Les, as he has been for years. He oversees the football appointments side, enough said. He needed sacking years ago. Wouldn't have him behind the till at the local filling station.

Can only play what he has available could have totally changed midfield and started Armstrong. He said interview dozzell said he has come off sat as legs had gone. Why start him few days later even If that’s only change you make. Not sure we need excuses being offered up for that effort. dozzel legs had gone , I did 90 mins Sunday I'm 60 ... The fact that we now, post subs, have a midfield pairing that can close down space and put a foot in, merely boils my piss even more. What the fuck was Ainsworth thinking? Praising Dozzell the wanker as well? Agreed. Stef coming on did make a difference. But clearly the captain is still not fit to start otherwise he doubtless would have. The squad has been decimated by injuries to key players the entire season. Not that that is an excuse, but more a reason, and certainly doesn't help matters. Again, it points to more systemic issues at the club. |
