no way did he resign. DOF roles are different to managerial roles as no DOF wants a sacking on their CV.
personally i suspect that his contract was up at the end of the month and that the club allowed him to save face by resigning rather than being let go

Rumour that Steve Gallen will take over as DoF I think we all have to accept that Ainsworth isn't going anywhere. And since - despite the new sky deal and the new EPL subsidy - we are not prepared to spend, that you really have to ask yourself why bother appointing anyone? Why not save the 0.5m pa? The Les thing had to happen, but without more substantive change we'll still have a ludicrous non player wage bill, very little progress made below first team level, and the same board. |

Les Ferdinand the centre forward was one of the best players I have ever seen for us and I will always remember that part. Les Ferdinand as a D.O.F was the polar opposite and has rightly stepped down or been moved on. The board need to keep on removing the rest of them the recruitment Guru has to go as well as Ramsey. If Steve Gallen was to come back he would most likely move them anyway.
