Willock and Richards will not be picked due to one reason bad attitudes! Whoever sanctioned the Richards signing on a 3 year deal needs sacking.

stupif if true. he's had since february to get an idea of how he wants the squad to play. ok, i can forgive him for the dross last year due to the fragility of the squad and desparation to get results but he's had an entire preseason to figure things out yet lines up with chair as a winger in a 442.

here's a system for you gaz that will suit our players and allow them to mix it up.

if colback isn't ready then switch him for richards or the kit man, just not dozzell. get a new RB asap too.

kakay's job is to cover between defensive midfield and behind fox and cook. he always gets beaten whenever its 1 on 1 so have him as cover to sweep up anything the midfield or defence miss out on.
the wingbacks can push up to get crosses in or help chair/willock further up the pitch.

it can go from a 5221 to a 2341 in attack which is when kakay would push into CDM alongside field and colback.

sinclairs job is to wait for through balls over the top or cutting through defenses, willock and chair are good enough for either plus fox is known for his long balls. don't use armstrong as a target man, he needs to play on the shoulders of defenders were he can use his pace and strength to muscle through them and go into 1v1s with the keeper.

if willock isn't up to the task then richards starts, he's also an option with his longshots.

stay rigid in defence and employ a zonal type system depending in position with the back 7 players but always make sure there's one pressing, 1 covering and 1 floating between the 2 roles so the 3 roles can constantly be rotated around depending on the situation. for example, the guy pressing loses his man, the guy covering immediatly starts the press, the floater steps into cover and the initial presser becomes the floater.
kakay will be the primary floater though where his pace and engine can help him get around the pitch.

get the boys working for eachother in a relatively easy system to follow where their roles aren't complicated yet still efficent.

Dykes over Armstrong for me. Dykes can on occasions look a player Armstrong on other hand has not.

Not huge confidence in either but if there is one chance I would prefer it fell Dykes then Armstrong.
