I don’t think we played well, take Armstrong out of that side and we have nothing.
Chair looks out of sorts, Colback scored but what else does he do?
Smyth looks busy up and down covering at RB but little end product.
We can easily lose the next six games in similar fashion.

bloody shame that. yes we sat too deep at times and weren't good enough with the passing but thats understandable against a team like southampton. we deserved a point out of that. three games in a row we have played well and not got fuck all ☹️ its frustrating for sure but given our lack of depth and quality its not something that has me up in arms over it. the games we lost last season was a completely different story compared to how we're losing now. we actually look competitive for the whole 90 - even good at times and are more or less unlucky or not taking our chances. there's certainly progress going on, we fight tooth and nail and hopefully can put a run of games together. i certainly don't think we're the worst team in the league, tbh, we look like a midtable one. |

Southampton were no great shakes today.We had 10 men behind the ball for large pars of that game, if anyone thinks that means we played well I give up. southampton have just been relegated, have kept most of their squad together, have signed some strong players and have a team filled with players who bossed the championship. what were we supposed to do? send cook on a mazy dribble through their midfield? we played to our strengths and were set up to hit them fast on the counter which mostly worked. if we scored from those chances then we'd have won the game for sure. southampton looked like a very good team yet they never really looked real dangerous because of how we dealt with them. doesn't help us either when the ref is southampton's MOTM. |

How many saves did their keeper have to make?Maybe one from Chair? Other than a 15min spell after half time where or when did we play well? Its not a tactical masterclass to have 5 defenders sit tight on the edge of our box and have a second bank of 4 just in front of them. |

Charging car on way home , so on here.
Plenty of fight in the team , poor finishing and a bias REF did us up .
Saints move the ball well but never threatened much . On another day we'd have come away with something.
Fans well behind ainsworth as this team may not have panache but it sure has guts.
