Putting 10 men behind the ball for three quarters of the game can only be associated with anti football as we only really played for 15mins max. I said I didn’t feel we played well as other than Sinclair Armstrong who did? Southampton have a decent championship goal scoring striker and that’s probably the reason why they got relegated. They certainly don’t look they going to run away with the league with that team team today. Alternative view. Go all out at them and see a Watford type score line. No thanks. We have to play it smart in certain games and up against one of the strongest teams in the league to come away disappointed at not getting at least a point says it all for me. We haven’t yet again bought a half decent striker. If we had one I honestly think we’d be seeing results. We’re literally depending on young kids up front. Not because they’re amazing but because we’re desperate! Watford game was different in that players were not on board with manager tactics, Ainsworth has I think conceded on that point. I would suggest Ainsworth surprised Cardiff in change of formation and tactics and kudos to him for that. Ipswich at home was predictable and an uninspiring performance against league 1 opposition with a real emphasis on us being the home team and coming up well short in attacking ideas. With flair players like Chair,Willock and Richards seemingly out of sorts or injured where does that ultimately leave us, it’s not out of the question that all of them are still at odds to how Ainsworth wants to play football. Yes the effort was there today but contrary to Ainsworth opinion it won’t win too many games giving the opposition 75% possession stats like today.

Asmir, Steve, Morgan, Jack and Paul are Godsends. We need more geezers like them. Preferably who can play up front.

On the possession issue. West Ham (currently top of the premier league) beat Brighton 3-1 yesterday with only 22% possession.
A solid back line with quick strong counter attacks seems to be a successful route these days.

we have 12 or 13 players in the squad that are genuinely good enough for this level but its the depth and different options off the bench that really let us down. i've been impressed with smyth since his return but in any other squad he'd be no more than a good option to bring off the bench for 30 minutes. we desparately need some options up top. or even someone who's maybe not the best player but a set piece specialist just for when we're chasing the game. When was the last time we had one of those? Buzsaky?

Their second goal. So frustrating. How are we letting him take it down, turn and shoot ffs. Element of fortune in it though, as his first touch was unintentional but ended up giving him the space to shoot.

Finally the ref was a total and utter cunt. Some of his decisions were fucking awful. Could see from first 5 mins we were getting fuck all out of him. Blowing the whistle as we’re about to take a throw in for an attack just rubbed salt in the wounds. I hope his Mrs is sucking his brothers cock the cunt. Easily as bad as Stroud, if not worse! Fucking homer.

Hopefully more we do it better we become and hopefully results follow.
