You have to be brain dead to play five at the back when down to ten men. The bank of five and three concedes two thirds of the pitch to the opponent with the extra man. It means you have no out, and face constant pressure. And that's with a striker, the one up, able to hold the ball, not run on to balls. Which aren't coming his way. Absolute brain dead. Gave them the three points. Helped by the ref. And the extra eight minutes. Pants pulled down. No corner second half.

If ever a game changed because of a Red card it was today.
We were competitive until that point but was rearguard after that. Not how I would have set up but they just passed round us. Personally if we’re ten men I would always go 351 and try and pack midfield making it hard.
Clarke took Smyth to the cleaners. Whilst we have honest players now they don’t seem very smart and able to work out what to do during the game. Smyth perfect example all Clarke wanted to do was cut in on his right and at no point did Smyth clock on to showing him down the line.
Onwards to Tuesday.

Man against boys I’m afraid.
Every pass they made counted. They popped us all over the gaff.
We resorted to punting up to a completely isolated Armstrong and although he brought Dykes on it done nothing.
Red card of course changed things but in fairness they were much much better than us.
Also while I’m here don’t want to dig him out but did Begovic turn into Rob Green today. Wtf was his distribution all about. Piss poor and slow.
