Who here thinks if the board weren't looking to sell up he'd have been sacked by now? Buyers would want their own man in situ, so that narrative makes sense. Thing is, you can't guarantee a sale until the ink is dry, so retaining him is a massive risk. A risk that they seem to embrace.

With Richard Dobson as his assistant, I thought we had bought something similar to the Cowley brothers (in principle), but obviously not.

Who here thinks if the board weren't looking to sell up he'd have been sacked by now? I'm not convinced it is related to a possible sale but a need to not have the club have a reputation for quickly getting rid of managers as Watford have. The problem is that he's been an absolute disaster and needed to go a while back and the longer he stays it affects the club and, judging from his appearance today, him. We need to get rid for a number of reasons but today, to me, the most pressing one is probably a compassionate one.

I personally don’t think it’s because of sale I think we simply can’t afford to sack because of FFP

I’m 100% certain FFP regulations changed meaning the financial football year finishes end of December.

Putting someone on gardening leave what does that mean financially?

Putting someone on gardening leave what does that mean financially? [ Gardening leave Your employer may ask you not to come into work, or to work at home or another location during your notice period. This is called ‘gardening leave’. You’ll get the same pay and contractual benefits.

Putting someone on gardening leave what does that mean financially? makes no difference at all your still paying them as normal. If you bring someone in your paying them too

We cant give him 13 more matches and expect to stay up. I don’t disagree. I don’t think Jimmy Rabbit sources are wrong either. If I put myself in Ruben shoes and his Father recently passing I’m sure QPR would be the least of my worries from a financial or priority point of view. Its intriguing to remember how Amit at one stage tried to buy the club, relinquished a sizeable amount of shares and only recently re-acquired I think around 13% Its no secret that there would have been a sizeable windfall cushion from the land and commercial property side that they introduced into the club. Im guessing Fernandes would be the main fall guy in all this.

I disagree. He will get a league 1 or 2 role and do well. He just won't make it as a Championship manager.

Critchley, Warburton, McClaren, Holloway, JFH were all sacked for FAR less.
The board keeping him on is 100% not for footballing reasons.

Feel sorry for him and the next bloke won't do any better. The squad is rotten to the core.

Feel sorry for him and the next bloke won't do any better. The squad is rotten to the core. Think it goes much deeper than the squad. Something not right from under 7's coaches right through to the board level members. All in all this club may as well bolt the doors
