Will he really want to build a squad to get out of league 1 if we are relegated? Bhatia has clearly moved away and the few quid for the SA africa rd stand naming rights showed that. All in all ww are in a real bad way and the most terifying thing is Hoos is in control. You are right to raise the concerns. Even more concerning about Hoos is if he is NOT in control. Clive on LFW was reporting (don't know how accurately) that he is rarely seen at Loftus Rd and works remotely. If so seeing as the director of operations was sacked for alleged bullying plus Hoos is meant to be the CEO and chairman, plus we have no director of football and the board is completely absent, you have to wonder if the person in charge is the tea lady. Of course all just rumour but there doesn't seem to be anyone in charge, just when we need strong, inspirational leadership. Is it any wonder that everything from the merchandising to the ticket sales to the refreshment offering is so utterly shite, and that's before you start on the football?

Stains, think what 73 is referring to is Hoos (ever since LF left) is now the interim (if not permanent) DoF, and has precisely zero football qualifications/background.

Not surprised by anything anymore with regards to this football club. We are in an awful state from academy ti first team and our one bright spark is the manager who looks beaten by the circus that is QPR FC.

Yeah I get that, I was just saying its not just the director of football role that is effectively empty but there is a complete lack of leadership across the club with the exception of the first team manager/ coach

If we can sort this out we’re still in with a chance. Suggests the actual game plan in open play works it’s the dead ball situations killing us.

Maybe we don't have enough people who are great in the air. I wouldn't say we have commanding CBs as such. That would impact both ends.

Cook is probably our best defender at set pieces. We've really missed him recently. He's been absent for all the recent losses.

Interesting stat, I must say, I have noticed on several corners that some players are actually marking no one at all. Is our tactic zonal marking instead of man marking?

Dan Evan’s (who wrote that article) said it’s a zonal marking system. Can’t say I’m a fan of zonal when I see the likes of Paal trying to outmuscle opposition CBs.

The new CEO said MC will 'play a big role over the next 6 months'....
A hidden admission that he's off in July?

We've only managed to get 3 points from the games where he wasn't involved on the pitch (and that game he was present on the bench). Crucial player for us, imo.

The new CEO said MC will 'play a big role over the next 6 months'.... A hidden admission that he's off in July? I think that’s reading too much into it. We’ve clearly got a big job on our hands trying to survive this season and that’s what I took his comment to mean. We’ve got six months to save our championship status as that’s how much of the season is left. Of course Marti will play a big role in that…..he’s the manager!

When Marti C. was in Sandefjord Fotball in Norway, he quit because they wouldn't back him moving forward. Let`s just hope this will not be the case at this club. On the other hand, just a pity that his role in the matches against Sheffield W is questionable imo. We should imo not have gone for second goal so late in the match.

tbh even if we are relegated i think marti will stay. relegating a club to the third tier for the first time in 20 years isn't good on your CV, although it wouldn't be marti's fault.
however i'd expect us to be among the favourites to come right back up again and with a more pro analytics chairman at the helm we could be in for a decent season next year. if FFP doesn't crush us i'd rather us go down, win a bunch of games and come right back up than stay up this season only to struggle again next year.

I’d blame the plonker who decided on passing the ball instead of shooting the bloody thing when a few yards out. Not the first time either. Would have been 2-0, job done

Can only sympathise with the manager on days like today.
Decent starting lineup, subs worked, played well but again punished due to bad finishing and small mistakes at the back.

1 point from 21...Ainsworth territory isnt it ?
I like Cifuentes but like every other manager we've had, he needs some backing from the board to get rid of the rot and get some proper players

I think Marti is a good manager, he is just working with a poor set of players.
He will stick around imo, got no doubt hes the man to get us back up if we go down, he will have this summer imo to bring his own stamp on things and thats when we can judge him, not now.
