Got this horrible feeling that as and when McKenna goes Ipswich will be sniffing around Marti.

Would hope we can see off all comers for one season at least. Give him an incentive bonus. Win, win. Do well with us, we benefit, your stock rises and better jobs come along.

Got this horrible feeling that as and when McKenna goes Ipswich will be sniffing around Marti. I was thinking that. Maybe I'm naive, but I genuinely think the man has some morals & decency & will want to see what he can do with this group of players. He will get some backing & he knows he's a good manager who will get better opportunities in the future.

If Marti does go I would want cooper ex forest Good shout Gen... But I think Marti will resist offers and have at least one full season with us. It might also depend on what goes on behind the scenes and what support he gets in the transfer market.

tbh i don't think marti would leave us for ipswich. it's mckenna's team and likely one destined for a relegation battle regardless of who's at the helm. if mckenna does go whoever goes in there won't be walking into a rosey job, the fans will be deflated at their messiah leaving them and will have a fuse for anyone stepping in. if marti goes there and gets pumped in one of his first games then questions will be raised for sure.
i'd be more concerned at brighton coming in for marti tbh. they love their stats and marti was hired on the back of stats and analytics so i wouldn't be surprised in he's on brightons radar tbh.

marti is 8/1 for leicester . Maresca hasn't even left Leicester yet and Mcif is always going to be linked with other jobs, bookie clickbait. We have to get used to that and chill out. Also, I don't think he's quite there yet for an EPL slot. Leicester look at someone like Davide Ancelotti who is really highly rated and wants to step out of Papa's shadow.

Leicester’s muted to be getting 16point deduction next season so will be coming straight back down. Can’t see the foxes being an appealing job for anyone.

Would it be possible keep him locked up in an underground cage until the transfer window closes? (only to be let out to take training and pre-season games). 2Loftus could design us a great graphic for that I'm sure.

I hope they have learnt from the last time and put a very large compensation fee in his contract , Given our position when we offered Marti the job, all thanks to Ainsworth, I doubt we were able to really push a large compensation fee in the contract back in November 2023.

Lampard and Parker linked with Burnley job. Bellamy in temporary charge. Steve Cooper has ruled himself out.

That's the rumour mate. Not 100% just yet if it's gospel but I'm not too confident.
To be honest, I've not been confident he'd be here next season just based on how he addressed questions around his future in a couple of interviews at the end of the season.

If he goes we should sound out Liam Rosenoir or Steve Cooper.

If he goes we should sound out Liam Rosenoir or Steve Cooper. That Will Still looks like our type of Manager in my opinion. Doesn't look like he's gonna accept Sunderland.

Rosenoir would be fine, but losing Marti would be quite hard.
