Either that or it's Emperor Hoos rules the roost at Loftus Road.
All these sponsorship deals could be seen as breaking the rules, Hoos could be being set up to be the fall guy.
it does seem like a bit of a strange one. you'd think that a few backhander sponsorships would be a better idea to do.
like for example, lets say i own QPR and you're a guy i regularly do business with. you then sponsor a stand and i give you a good business contract with favourable terms etc.
Renaming the stand, like the Matrade deal, will bring more money in right? Just hope we don't fall foul of FFP because of it. Really looks like Jimmy might be right though, and they're getting ready to sell up.

Amit hasn't seemed interested in a long time. Never quite got how he is the apple of a lot of fans' eyes - he's as culpable as the rest of them in the circus that is our ownership IMO.
Wouldn't surprise me to see him pop up in some role at Newcastle you know as he is well pally with that Jamie Rueben.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

It's a way to get the new manager some extra funding and easier to circumnavigate than the stadium rights to some degree as its borderline subjective as to what someone would be willing to sponsor a stand rather than a stadium which will have a number of comparisons the FL will measure against.
What we can say without any doubt, however, is that we are going to spend in January. Whether that is big spending or not is to be seen but we have a war chest of sorts.

Surely getting sponsorship money in for a stand will only help FFP, no? More revenue?

I think a lot of people misunderstand the link between owners individual assets, QPR Holdings, and FFP.
Essentially if the club - ie Holdings - were to increase its income by a given %, then that would indeed increase their potential to spend money without sanction, as long as the books balanced within FFP guidelines.
Meanwhile if the owners personal wealth increased, nothing would change. Which is the point Hoos has found himself repeatedly having to make. So yeah Matty, correct. It's potentially good news.
So our new chairman, is a man who self admitted on many occasions that he is not and has no knowledge of footballing matters and he is obly a numbers man.
