A list of fans and he use to act as a conduit between grasses in our own ranks and the Met Police via PC John whatshisname. If he heard anything that he could pass on to The Met he would and it wouldn't surprise me if it comes back to hit him at some point in the future. He'd deserve it too... Not sure about that. Has a young family and travelling time was to much. Thats why he left i understand. I don't know if he was the person referred to above in the commentary yesterday but he's definitely a grass. He's been lucky to avoid getting a slap over the last 2-3 seasons.

Mid 70s, Basing St, so Ladbroke Grove area, an area I spent a lot of time in, although I found the image online. It's political for sure. Loft Rangers Aggro complements the Blake quote nicely, so whoever added the Rs tag had a nice sense of literary context...... We were a bit fiercer in those days (the club's support and probably the whole nation), plus LR had plenty of freaks and weirdos on the terraces. There was a great thread about them and their successors on WATRB which never migrated over to here.

if he’s head of operations is liasing with police and challenging fans behaviour in ground not actually part of the job?
Don’t know enough about what you mean by grass but if it’s above think that’s bit harsh.
For record not a fan of grasses🤬

Seeing a lot more QPR content recently from this outlet and some valid points made around the MF selection.

Seeing a lot more QPR content recently from this outlet and some valid points made around the MF selection. That is a good analysis. What I would add, and what surprised me on Saturday (perhaps it shouldn't have), was how slow the pace of the game was. For most of the first half, in particular, both sides seemed content to play at relatively relaxed pace, as if they were sounding each other out. QPR's pace did pick up after the 30 minute mark, but there was still no sense of uregency, and no press in the sense you see it in the Premiership. This seemed to be part of the reason the game was a stalemate.
If we had pressed BC hard then I think we would have breached their defence relatively easily; we know Dickie lacks pace, for example. But this didn't happen. Whether this was due to tactics, or fitness, or it's 'just the way it is' I don't know. However if we had breached their defence more often I'm not sure we could have capitalised anyway, with Dykes as our lone striker. The article notes that having two left footers in the midfield in Dozzell and Colback may have contributed to the lack of attacking threat (although we were good defensively), but that changed when EDB came on. OF course, had Chair been playing it would have made a huge difference. Smyth tried his best, and constantly beat his man, but was unable to offer anything in terms of crossing.
The other thing that was glaring was just how poor Beggo is with his feet. It's shocking to see in a modern day keeper. I saw on LFW that we had been talking to Lumley beofre Beggo came in. I think Lumley would have flourished under Marti. But for now Beggo's the best we have. But it really limits the team's options in starting attacks and counter-attacking.
Assuming everyone is fit and available, I really hope that for Marti's third game in charge he will have seen enough of his players to put out a side something like this:
Beggo
Cannon Cook Dunne Paal
EDB Field Colback/Dozzell
Richards Chair Willock
I think Marti has been bold and clever in starting Willock, where Ainsworth would barely give him 5 minutes, and I think he's trying to integrate Richards in a similar, albeit more cautious way. People are understandably dubious about him, but I saw enough on Saturday to convince me he does have the ability, he just needs match minutes. Smyth can come in for him in the second half if he's not producing the goods or is tiring.

Under Ainsworth I’m sure opposition managers would just say to their players “keep it tight and they will inevitably make mistakes that we can punish them for” I would guess that’s what Bristol City set out to do initially and it nearly succeeded late on.
Manning said in his post match he was impressed with how we set up and denied them space to play.
Dont you think it’s time for Richards to get himself playing every game with the U21’s “first” to get his fitness and sharpness up to be a realistic option for first team selection first Hubble? he looks way off it to me right now.

Good post Hubble only area I would disagree is Lumley under Marti. He was unable to sort his feet out under Warburton hence one of the reasons he was moved on he’s unfortunately not a ball playing keeper. But as you say clearly not Asmirs strength either.

I think from a psychological aspect putting Richards into the U21s might have a negative impact, especially since he's now featured twice for the first team. I think how Marti is handling it is the right way to do it. Richards is a technically skilled player and Ainsworth was probably the worse possible coach for him, not just in terms of how to manage that apsect, but also how to manage him mentally. Can you imagine how Richards responded to the Haka, empty the tank, we're the scrappy underdogs mentality that Ainsworth tried to instil? He needs to know, on a psychological level, that Marti rates him, I think this will bring him out of his shell.
Westie, I thought Lumley was good with his feet, so I stand corrected. Something happened to him after he got that bash on the head, he was never the same keeper afterwards. But like Richards, maybe he can be rehabilitated under the right manager. Anyway, it's a moot point. But we really, really need a ball-playing keeper, Begovic is a liability, an accident waiting to happen, even though he's a good shot-stopper.

One of the things that upset me about Warburton was how dismally slow our build up was, which meant we in turn were horribly exposed against an organised press. You need to have fast, ground based out ball. I hope Marti feels the same.

Mind you he has to get them used to passing the football first (ie Thing legacy).

How Beale started. Warbs ball with higher tempo. yeah we need to start seeing that. Mind you he has to get them used to passing the football first (ie Thing legacy). tbf most of our players are used to passing the ball about. we signed players in the past who're technically good and even the signings under gaz have played like that. steve cook was part of a freeflowing bournemouth side under howe, fox is a converted LB, colback was nicknamed the ginger pirlo and smyth has never been bad with the ball either. the main one who lets us down tbh is begovic. great shop stopper and leader at the back but marti likes his keepers to be heavily involved in buildup play and to have a good long ball on them when needed. aside from that dunne always worried me on the ball as he seems like he's concentrating on dribbling far too much to realise he's being closed down. kakay is similar except he seems to think he has more time than he actually does although he had a great game against bristol. time will tell in regards to how our starting 11 will develop. i can imagine some players being converted into other roles. ie cannon or kakay becoming a full time CB as part of a back 4.

I think Dunne has got a pass on him, I'm sure he pinged one cross field on Saturday, unless I'm imagining it. The total debacle of the last season and a half hasn't helped any of the players - changes of manager, tactics, personnel..... and Dunne was out for a long time. I reckon in the right set-up, alongside Cook, he can step up to become a more rounded ball playing CB.

Who is our Head of Operations? Not sure about bullying but anyone involved of our “operations” should be looking over their shoulder…..especially if you’re the head of it! Joshua Scott who many won't recognise the name by he runs the @qpropertaions account on Twitter. He's a complete twat and grass as well. twitter.com/joshuadscott23?s=21

Personally thought he done ok.
Would help if there was a forward with 3 brain cells who would attack balls into the box but we know what we have in that department already.

Personally thought Smyth done ok. Me too. Ran their LB absolutely ragged, who ended up getting booked cos of it Think some of the criticism a bit OTT tbh Yes, he's not the greatest. Yes, could work in his delivery a bit But he does have pace. Something we've lacked a lot. And certainly not as bad as some make out. The above stats seem to bear this out.

Saw that earlier jimmy but regardless of getting mom what did he actually put in the box which even resembled anything which would open up opposition defence.
9 crosses but can’t recall any of them being dangerous but can recall Willock putting in three.
Is it voted for by fans? If so they must be impressed by a player lying on his stomach looking at the ref as that my recollection of him from Saturday.

Got quick feet & must be a pain to play against. There’s a LOT worse in our squad. I feel he shouts start more games than not due to the fact he can actually get a ball on the box. I don’t mind him.

Surely a ball in the box is then over to you as far as the strikers are concerned? We don’t have David Beckham. We have a bottom half championship squad. If we put balls in the box, anywhere in the box we should have players attacking it IMO. He can’t do much more than get some ammo in there. We are fucked because the useless jock… don’t start me off 😂

Most his crosses go straight out behind the goal or out for throws. How often does he get byline then cut a good ball back giving whoever is up top proper opportunity to score?
He’s played a part in every game this season (16 games) only one assist that tells me everything I need to know. If the bar for having a good game is running fast, lying on your stomach and putting in shit crosses give me a game.
Strikers are shite but the service is just as bad. Hence why I think Armstrong out wide would be better option as he can do everything Smyth can and think he would be more effective.

Armstrong not got 90 mins in him and Jock is shite. I’d even try Smyth up top as a false 9 to see if his quick feet could do anything. Hardly gonna be any worse than our current goal scoring ratio.

Agree with perhaps giving him run down centre as with his pace if he plays on shoulder and we put balls behind he’s 100% through on goal.
Armstrong out wide Smyth down middle why not try it.

I thought Armstrong looked lethargic and poor when he came on. I was hoping with Donkey, Smyth and Armstrong being away on international duty Kolli might impress Marti but realise he’s away too.
