I’m as eager as everybody else to see a recognised striker come in but am willing to wait for another possible 3 games for much better options upfront and in MF.

to be fair given our FFP situation improves in the summer, it makes some sort of sense as a stop gap until then.

I personally found it strange why we didn't keep him on, think he can be useful potentially as a sub for Dykes.

Having only one senior striker at the club, as well as Armstrong, Kelman and Kolli as our striking options was a big mistake coming into this season.

Our biggest problem right now is providing goal scoring chances for a striker to miss.

But we are like GT at the disco. He can't expect to rock up at 9pm and pull the fittest bird in five minutes and be straight back home in the taxi with her, Holloway style; GT has to do his courting business at the end of the snogging window, when the DJ is playing some appalling smoochy old ballad by Sheena Easton. Then, just maybe, there might be some elderly gadget the size of a tanker navigating the Strait of Hormuz, in tears because she has been dumped by her boyfriend and so drunk she doesn't even notice that he can't afford to buy her a drink or even how short/ frankly undesirable he is. That's our market.
